Wanted to write this blog for awhile, since I always bring this story up when comforting friends and/or explaining why I take my time anymore...

Fore-warning, this may be a long blog so grab a snack or two and a beverage...

Alright, wayyyy back in high-school, probably my senior year, I met this girl named "Tammy".

I guess we ran into each other a few times at different parties but never exchanged numbers or anything. Honestly, I don't remember meeting her untill...

Fastforward a few years when MySpace went national.

Yeah, we ran into each other online and after a few monthes of talking, she invited me to meet her for drinks with her and her friends.

So I go, and we hit it off.

In fact, we constantly called/texted/MySpaced/hung out with friends at bars and parties.

We confided in eachother about EVERYTHING, including our love lives and such.

We called eachother "twins".

She was meh sis, I was her bro.

Fastforward a few years...

She ends up admitting she thinks we'd be perfect "together"...

Kinda threw me off, and I was able to dance around the idea for about a year till I finally thought about it...

She's my BEST FRIEND.

She's GORGEOUS as HELL.

Shit, this could be it...

So we made plans that we'd spend New Year's Eve together...

The night before New Year's Eve, I try to get a hold of her.

Nothing.

I end up babysitting my friend's kids for New Year's.

A week later, Tammy calls and explains how an old high-school crush came back to town and told her how he felt and she was twisted about her feelings so spent New Year's alone.

Whatever, she's my sis so I let it slide.

Fastforward a few monthes later.

She's dated the guy all this time and said she made the wrong choice, she wants to be with me.

So I cave in and choose a day that we could meet up for drinks, no friends, just us.

I also added that NEITHER of us would be going home with the other. Just a simple "date" to see how it'd go...

We closed the bar while havng each other laughing and happy as hell.

We even had the "romantic kiss" after walking her to her car.

Before  could even drive home, she texted me "I'm sooo glad we did this. I love you Jai".

Smiles galore.

Needless to say, that whole week we phoned/texted and she wanted me to come over for her infamous Italian sausage penne.

It was obvious this weekend, we were "sealing the deal".

Yet...

...didn't hear from her the day before I was suppose to come over...

*sigh*

I grew up always rushing into things, alowwing girls to leave their toothbrushes in my bathrroom, staying with girls for a week or two or six monthes...

Always ended quick.

Here I was taking my time, and really thought it could be great especially since SHE was the one who introduced the idea...

...

So, ummmm, yeah...
