I remember eyes the color of the sky after a bad storm, a light blue swimming with clouds. I remember a smile that was pure, and like a light switch, turned those same eyes on and made them shine. I remember thinking over and over, a constant mantra running thru my mind, I love you, I love you, I love you. But you never loved me back. You just played the part well. But when the light goes black at midnight, my own eyes closed forever, yours will be the last thing I see.
