Let’s see, what could I tell you about myself? Well, that you might find interesting enough to actually read about. I am a hardcore Simpsons freak, especially the older ones. Other than that, I don’t watch anything that isn’t on the history channel, discovery channel or a pool match on ESPN2. I am a wealth of useless information. I don’t know why, but for some reason, I can remember absolutely anything that I don’t really need to know. Just get to know me, and I can guarantee that I will prove it to you in probably very short order. For example, did you know that when you watch TV, your brain will operate at the same level as when you are asleep, scary huh? Just how much time are you spending in front of the almighty “boob tube”? Oh yeah, and just incase this is too much of a stretch for your mind to come to, if your mind is operating at a level of sleep, then your metabolism drastically slows down. Are you making that connection between all those hours spent in front of the TV and that ass of yours that seems to be getting bigger by the second? Read a book, you will loose weight, on top of the fact that you will be doing yourself and the rest of the world a tremendous favor by exercising your mind. Ignorance breeds more ignorance. I spend most of my free time looking up, studying and reading about current events, politics and government. I am also working on writing a book about government and why, the bigger we let our government become, the worse everything will become for us. I am a bit of a conundrum when it comes to politics. I am an agnostic conservative independent. I am of the very firm belief that our government barely knows what is good for them, let alone what’s good for an entire nation of very different people. One of the biggest downfalls of our nation is the fact that we as a people are very comforted by the use of labels. Gay, straight, fat, thin, smart, dumb, black, white, conservative, and liberal and the list goes on and on and on. These labels give us a sense of security, because they alienate those who are different from us and give us a common ground with those that are matched up in the same label as us. And that brings me to religion, the absolute greatest evil of them all. There is a big difference from people who have faith and have religion. Unfortunately, most people don’t know the difference. And even if they did know the difference, all religious books were written by man as a way to control the masses. The biggest offender of this would have to be The Bible, and the “story of Jesus”. If you study ancient history, you will find that the Roman Government plagiarized this story from many other ancient “religious” stories. For the same reason that every major Christian holiday that is celebrated in America was originally a pagan holiday. The church made up new holidays to cover up the old ones and demonized everything about the old ways. The same character of “Jesus” can be found in hundreds of other much older societies, and they all share common qualities. And the same can be said about many other characters in The Bible. Why would this happen you ask. It’s simple, since the dawn of communication, people have been telling stories to explain the world around them. One of the big mysteries that those stories explained, were the stars in the sky. If you study the stars, you can still see the group that started the story of “Jesus”. It starts off with the Zodiac. The Zodiac shows the sun in the middle, the 12 signs around the sun and the solstices and the equinoxes. (wow, that was quick huh, sound familiar, 12 signs around the sun). The sun was worshiped by all. It was referred to as “god sun” or “the sun of god”, the savior of the world. In that time, man recognized that without the sun, we would not have warmth and the crops could not grow. Now here’s where it gets fun! If you pay attention to where the sun rises and sets on a daily basis, you would recognize that the later in the season it gets, the space between where it rises and sets gets shorter and shorter. On the 22nd of December, the sun will stay in the least amount of time and when it sets, it will be under the southern crux, or cross. But a funny thing happens; the sun will set in the same place for 3 days and then begin to rise again, bringing warmth and crops again, essentially their salvation. Thus, the sun will die on a cross and will rise again 3 days later to save the world. However, this was not celebrated on December 25th; it was celebrated on the spring equinox due to the fact that that’s when life began to rise out of the earth again. The church ripped off this very old story for three reasons, it was already an established story that people accepted, it gave them the ability to control those who followed their teachings and the most important reason. . .MONEY!!! But wait there’s more, on the morning of December 25th find the brightest star in the sky (the North Star), then find Aryans Belt, these 4 stars are very interesting. Aryans Belt is made up of 3 stars that are commonly referred to as the magi or the 3 kings. This brings us to an interesting point, these 3 stars line up with the North Star and point to where the Sun rises on the morning of December 25th. Thus, the 3 magi followed the brightest star in the east to find the rise of the Sun. Crazy, huh? Well, enough about religion and its false pretences lets move on to Government. I am not a Democrat, nor a Republican. I am an independent thinker. I know that the bigger and stronger our Government gets, the less freedoms given to us by our founding fathers we will have. Now that is a really scary thought. If we continue as the American public to vote people into office without knowing anything more than if they have a “D” or an “R” in front of that candidates name, the more we perpetuate the cycle of our own demise. Please for the sake of our future, take the time out of your busy schedules to educate yourselves on what our Government is doing and who you are electing into office. Here’s a great example, minimum wage. Everyone wants to make more money, and probably wants that same thing for their friends and neighbors. So on the surface, raising the minimum wage sounds like a good thing. However when you look at the big picture, the more you raise the minimum wage, the more jobs get lost and outsourced to other countries where the labor is cheaper. How frustrated are you every time you wait on hold for an hour just to end up talking to someone that you can barely understand. I know that that just pisses me right off. You can thank the minimum wage increase to that. Or how about all you parents that want your 16, 17 and 18 year old kid to get a part time job. It’s good for them because it helps teach them responsibility, and the reward for hard work. But it is not good for an employer to hire a kid that has no job experience, and is a gamble as to whether or not they will be reliable help. This is especially true when you have to pay that kid close to $10 and hour to do a minimum responsibility job. That’s not all. Employers have a budget that they have to pay employees based on the profits that that business takes in. I know, I know, it’s hard to imagine that money doesn’t really grow on trees, but it doesn’t. Now, the more the minimum wage increases, the more the people on the bottom of the totem poll are affected. Let’s make a simple example. An employer has a budget of $600 a week to pay to their employees on a 5 day work week. At $5 an hour, an employer can have 3 employees work a full 40 hours a week. Now, let’s say that the “all knowing government” decides that that’s not enough, no matter how easy the job is, and that $6 an hour is the least anyone can be paid. Do the math, which means that that employer now has to pay $720 a week to those same 3 employees. If the budget stays the same and the employer still can only afford to pay $600 a week, that means that one of those three people are going to loose their job, and then, due to the lack of manpower that that business will be able to sustain the amount of productivity that it once did. Then it would possibly lead to a bigger fall in profits, and a potential failure of that business. Wow, how many of you never thought of it like that? And that is just one example of how the Government can take something and make it look like a good thing and it’s really hurting the building blocks of our society. Ultimately making the “American Dream” all that more difficult to achieve. Like I said, that’s just one example, and a very small one at that. Let’s look at what the Democrats want to achieve when it comes to our health care. It’s called nationalized health care. This will ensure that ever single human in America will have access to health care. Sounds great on the surface right? I know that I think it does. But let’s take a deeper look into what nationalized health care will do in the big picture, as well as look at what it has already done in other countries that have already adopted it into their society. What nationalized health care really does is it eliminates the incredible health care that has been developed in our country due to free market. People in the health care industry provide a service to us at a cost which obviously includes a profit. But if the care that they provide to us is not worth the money that it costs to receive it, then we don’t go and they suffer because without patients paying for their care, they don’t have an income therefore they don’t have a business. That is what keeps the prices of health care in check. Good service at a reasonable price. But if you nationalize it, then who is going to be footing the bill? The answer is anyone with a job. It’s called taxes, and now not only do you have to pay for your care, but you have to pay for the care of some drug dealer who doesn’t pay taxes and they will receive the exact same care that you do. But those taxes are not just going to have to pay the doctors bills, but it will also have to pay for the Government employees who will be put in place to regulate the medical professionals who are getting paid. Again, wow! I guess maybe you didn’t think about the fact that nationalizing health care would add an extra middle man into the mix. So, considering the fact that these government institutions are not yet in place, that means that they will need an entire department to oversee it. In addition to the fact that these taxes do not yet exist, therefore creating new taxes which will raise yours. (That is unless you’re already a drug dealer who gets welfare and doesn’t pay taxes; in that case, this is all great for you.) Now for the final thought on this subject. The Government will figure out the cheapest way to pay everyone while still turning a profit for themselves (as if they don’t rape us enough). Therefore the medical professionals who provide to you, your care will suffer; ultimately resulting in a lesser quality of care to you. So let’s look at other nations that already have this in place. Canada for example has extensive waiting lists to receive basic care. There is a man who was waiting for six years just to have an infected tooth pulled when he finally pulled it himself. Boy that sounds like a real good time. Well I think I’ve had enough fun ripping the Democrats Socialist ideals apart. Let’s move on to the Republicans. The Republican Party has had a long running support from the religious ideals that have backed their “moral” stance. But when you study religion, it is all just a very well contrived farce to control the masses. The biggest offence put forth by the Republican Party is the idea of “the sanctity of marriage”. Our founding fathers said that ALL MEN WERE CREATED EQUAL. This simply means all of mankind is equal and deserve equal treatment. Now how can you say that we are all equal and deserve equal treatment, and yet say that because someone finds love with someone of the same sex, they do not deserve the same benefits that a man and a woman receive? This goes back to the idea of “labels” and how they tear apart our society. The Government might as well say that if your religious beliefs are not in tune with that of the christen beliefs, then you don’t deserve the same benefits. Let’s look at this a little bit deeper. The real big question, the idea of being “gay” or “straight” and whether not it is a choice or if you are born like that. Just the simple question alone is offensive and even more dangerously ignorant. Let me just say this. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS “GAY” OR “STRAIGHT”. Mankind is naturally a sexual creature. But unfortunately we live in a society that dictates that you are either one or the other. So naturally, people are going to make themselves fit in one mold or the other. Christianity, which teaches love and tolerance, demonizes the idea of being “gay”.
