I just got back from the shelter and my two boys went peacefully. They would have died painfully within 48 hours and I am glad I was able to spare them that pain. Sorrow still remains.

I am leavng now for the shelter to put down two of my beloved darling's they are both in pain. They are both 9 1/2 years old and it is their time but it doesnt make it any easier. Champs is the one in my photo album who fell asleep on the cans of food. Spectra is a pure white albino who just lost his buddy sly a little while back and without his buddie his old age just caught up with hime. Pray for Agnes for me,,she came here bounded with Sly and Spectra and she will most likely die from depression, but she is young and I hope I can pull her through this. Blessed Be

Sly was put down this morning. His body was dying but his spirit would not let go...After a week of keeping down no food or water his spunky lovin life ass was still alive but in pain and discomfort. I was hoping for a peaceful death in my arms here at home as others before him have done but that was not in the cards. Mommy loves you sly... have fun with your buddies that have moved on with you... much love.

I havent been online for a couple of days. One of the ferrets, Sly, is in his finale days of life. For his sake I hope it wont be much longer now. He isnt very coherant and he is not in any pain. But stomach cancer and dehydration cant be comfortable. He is slowly slipping away. He came to me through the rescue almost two years ago with his buddies Spectra and Agnes and has been a light in my life... it is just like him to do things slowly and in his own time. Agnes and Spectra are not doing too well. They are falling into depression...they know their buddy is dying so my days are split between holding sly and keeping him comfortable and trying to get them to play as much as possible so they dont die from the depressio. Hope you all are well and hope to ttys.

Sly is on his way out. He has stomach cancer and has slowly been loosing weight. He should by all accounts be gone now but he is still up and walking around on his own and manages to keep enough food down to sustain hisself. Just pray for him. Pray that he will go peaceful in his sleep, cuddled up with his two lifelong buddes Agnes and Spectra, with no pain, no fear, and feeling loved. I dont know what is wrong with Antonio. I have had him and his buddy Dominick for several months now and Antonio has never come out of what just seems to be depression. He misses his mommy or daddy that gave them up. He just sleeps and doesnt play. He eats well and gains weight but everytime I pick him up and snuggle he is whining and looks so sad with his ears back and looking so meek and tired. The vet says there is nothing wrong with him physically. But he just started vomiting today which is not a good sign. I am snuggling with him now and hope that I and your prayers can get him through this.

I take in any ferret that cannot be adopted out because of illness that requires medication and monthly vet visit or because they are elderly. He should be bouncing off the walls having fun all the time but he doesnt have the energy. Choco has severe allergies (YEAH, ALLERGIES). Poor baby is on Benedryl and Prednizone everyday to keep them under control and we do not have the money to send my baby to a vet that can test for allergies. Please help...even a doller. PLEASE. Too many people purchase ferrets as pets and have no idea how much dedication they take to keep them healthy so as a result they come to us, unwanted and neglected.

He is the only ferret we ever had that lived into the double digits and he was ready to go. He will always be in my heart and I am sure he is with Mischeif, Lula, and my mother frollicking in a meadow with their youth.
