She lies buried in deep places,
Beneath the stones of ages burdened upon her shoulders.
The men of the sky ravaged her body
Until she lay down, broken, and cried.
She rested upon the haunches of eons,
And was slowly forgotten amongst the spirits of the lost.
Temples and streets grew around and above her.
Soon even her sisters did not know where she dwelt.
But whispers of her survived through the centuries,
In the eyes and the bellies of prophet and pauper alike.
Her voice spoke in secrets and talismans,
Watching and waiting from the caves at the edge of the world.
And now the sky gods begin to fall.
She awakens and her whispers transform into screams,
Too much hurt for too long in too many ways!
And she will no longer lay in silent repose.
Her children call her return in their hour of need,
And slowly she arises from the forgotten realms
She will return to claim what is her own,
And illusions of progress will crumble in her wake.
Her cries will echo to the corners of the universe,
Such fools to assume you could destroy me!
That I would sleep forever and my wounds would not heal!
She will return and her righteous anger will encompass all.
The time of the stone world is passing.
The return of magick resonates through the air.
The world of the fae that hid while she slept
Begin to wake and peek through the veil.
And slowly her sisters begin to remember.
Their eyes and their bellies fill with her cries,
That once it was she who filled up their hearts,
Who spoke to their daughters and nutrtured their hearths.
She will return with an army of mysteries,
And never again will she be broken or lost .
The balance the men of war destroyed will return,
And from the ashes our Mother will rise and take wing.
