Why am I so lonely,
when I'm surrounded by my Friends?
They love me, and they would die for me.
They are with me to the End.
They are the there for all the good times,
and embrace me in the bad.
They are as close to me as family,
and for their kinship I am glad.
The cold that's buried inside of me,
is hidden very deep.
They have hardly ever seen it,
but if they do, they start to weep.
They say that I'm a great person,
and say that I should wait,
But damnet I'm so lonely,
I can't keep going at this rate.
See, once I gave my heart away,
and I've fought to get it back.
My soul was torn, my mind was swept,
my life was thrown off track.
My friends were there to pick me up
and put me on my feet,
But there was something missing,
my life was incomplete.
She's out there somewhere waiting,
but I'm to blind to see,
The One that got put on this earth
to set my spirit free.
