Okay, so I have been seeing this babysitter now for a few weeks now...I think a month now though. She has a 2 1/2 yr old son and an 18month old daughter who needs special attention since she just got a kidney transplant. Well, I have two kids myself,a 6yr old boy and a 4yr old girl. My son is ADHD and has behaviorial problems...so bad that as a second year kindergardner, he does not want to be in school and now he has to go to school half of day. On top of that, he has been suspended four times from school so far and has missed a total of 12 school days. Now, I have been told that it is not safe for my kids to be around my babysitters kids as it is, especially, with my sitters daughter in the special needs that she is. But I have come to know this sitter not as someone who can help me out with watching my kids but also as a friend who can tell me about anything really in her life. So it will be very hard to not have her as a sitter. And to those people that say that this is unhealthy all i can say is that you are not in my shoes and you can not tell me what to do.
Also, she is the cheapest that I can find as I am in school and not working for now...I had to quit work due to the many times I was called out because of my son's school always calling me to come pick him up due to his outbursts. Although, my job did not officially fire me they did say that I am welcomed to return and work whatever hours I need if be...that is if they need me, like on call, I guess. But I do have a steady income as it is so I dont have to bother so much.
But as it is, Im going to stick with this sitter since I feel okay about her and feel that everything is going to be okay.
