~ Spirit Of The Hawk ~
I have a friend,
Hawk is her name...
a blessed spirit
that into my life came...
The gentle nature
of her abiding love,
is such a great blessing
from the Spirit above.
A fast friend to all,
she's an angel on earth...
God had a vision
of her life at birth.
For many moons,
she has blessed many lives...
but her humble nature
will forever abide.
May life kiss you softly
as you travel on,
planting those seeds
among others you've sown.
Each time I see
a hawk sitting still...
I think of "my" Hawk,
and it gives me a thrill.
Into my spirit creeps
warmth from above,
I thank God every day
for her friendship and love.
Fly freely, my Hawk,
fly high as you may...
for up in those clouds
I will meet you some day!
