What are you waiting for?

It was a spontaneous thing to do.. but I decided to take MsRain to the Pacific Ocean for her birthday. I just came into the house from working outside, said get a few things together we are leaving. She asked me where we were going and I told her... THE BEACH! You should have seen the look of surprise on her face, it was beautiful. She was so excited, never having seen the Ocean before. So she got some things together and we left for the coast. We went down Hwy 30 in Oregon all the way to Astoria and then headed south on Hwy 101. As we cruised down the coastal highway we came across a nice little state park to take a break at... Ecola State Park. There she got her first look at the Pacific Ocean. While we were there, there were ELK grazing by the park; not more than a 100 feet away. She had never seen them before (at least not that up close & personal). All along the way, I got to show her so many beautiful things here in the PNW. Our pictures will show you only some of it, but it was a great adventure. We came to rest at a beach area called Neahikanie, where we stopped for the evening and made a nice little bonfire for the night. We had some wine and just watched the surf come in on the sand. We tried to watch the sunset, but the cloud cover was too heavy. We sat and talked and our doggie, L'il Cav, got to go pee on everything he could find. We sat by the fire just loving each other (msRain & I that is) and listening to the surf come in. After a bit, I remembered my fireworks I had left from the 4th of July. So I got some and we lit them off! What a blast too!. After a while the coastal rain started to fall and we decided to retire to our car to wait it out. What a great start to a beautiful weekend. In the morning we were going to come home and then found out we did not have any money available for gas. We had some gas left and wanted to get to one of the near-by towns. Found out then we would not have any until Tuesday morning. So we went to a couple of other near-by places and stopped and took pictures and just spent time with each other in love. Some would say we were stuck at the coast for a couple of days, but I say we were just spending a Romantic Vacation together. I got to show the love of my life so many great things about her new home and I would not change any of it for anything. There is so much more I want to share in this blog but there is so much to tell. We got to see elk, seagulls talking to us, squirrels (who do not usually hang out at the beach), seals, scuba divers, crabbers, fighter jets doing manuevers over the ocean, and so much more. We spent a fabulous weekend doing something off the cuff and there was never a bad moment. I love her so much and I would not change a thing. Check out this picture of part of our adventure! http://fubar.com/photo.php?u=1499869&albumid=1145160&i=1686912850#3495941232 To all the rest of you all in love with some one... Do something unexpected and with love. Do it to show them how much you care and want to do with them. Show them that anything is possible. Most of all, show that you love them as much as I love my MsRain. With true love... nothing is impossible. To my TRUE LOVE, MsRain, I love you and I would do it all over again!!! I love you Baby!
