Hi everyone. My name is Mistress Persephone and I have been modeling within the fetish industry since 1992. Lots of different magazines and BDSM videos. Fetish event catwalks and club performances.
I have worked as a professional dominatrix since 1994. My first website was called Mistress Persephone's Tartarus and went online in 1996.
I was using the term Grotesque Burlesque years before a very famous creative plagiarist crossed my path, and long before sites like Suicide Girls existed I made it a goal to use the internet to create an erotic and powerful myth. The rest is......
History
-------
I am of Mexican descent with a temper to match and a passion for life. I am not looking for a boyfriend or a booty call so please do not ask or I will be forced to be rude to you, and it's so much easier to just be nice.
I was born and raised in Southern California. The very OC everyone seems to think is so great but I know to truly suck. Being a pale redheaded Mexican in a town full of mean rich white girls isn't fun. I moved out when I was 22 to Santa Ana, closer to la raza.
When I was 26 I moved to Manhattan and I loved NYC. My closest friends are still there and I visit every 2 months to enjoy them and to see my NYC clientele.
I moved back to CA when I was 28 and my 1980s minor pop star Brit ex-husband and I hopped between our loft in Hollywood and our home in North London giving me access to Europe so I have modeled, performed and seen submissive clients all over. Life was like a Fellini film for a while. Full of laughs and glitz, but not a whole lot of substance. I wanted more.
Now I am living in the midwest in a self-imposed exile. I don't miss California at all. "Doing Panto", if you will. No, not as in acting in pantomimes but as in milking my name for all it's worth in a place where I can relax and enjoy the infamy I have created without all of the faux Hollywood bullshit.
Married life was not for me. Hollywood was not for me. I have accomplished much in my career (search Mistress Persephone on google to see for yourself) and I no longer have anything to prove. I have full control of my life at last and am enjoying every minute of it.
I love high heels, corsets, classic 1960s and 70s horror, old spy films, glamour, gloved serial killers and being spoiled. I'm a pretty high maintenance girl and love to travel.
Some of my favorite activities outside of my modeling and BDSM career include snorkeling, reading, kayaking, hiking, pilates, yoga, swimming, weights and walking. I also love to read mysteries and true crime. Where will I move to when I retire? Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.

I listen to a lot of different kinds of music. Basically, I love everything on Nuggets and Pebbles vol. 1 and 2. 60's garage is the bomb.
Easybeats, The Creation, The Sonics, Fuzztones, The Bomboras...
I am also a huge new wave and new romantic fan so anything out of the late 70s/early 80s from this genre slays me. Visage, Duran Duran, A Flock of Seagulls, Gary Numan, Devo, Depeche Mode. Some classic and black metal too.
I also am a fan of 70s and 80s punk rock. Bad Brains, English Dogs, Subhumans, Rudimentary Peni, Christ on Parade...Pretty much if it was made after 1988 and claims to be punk, I don't really want anything to do with it.
I am not at all into the Rolling Stones, Tom Waits, My Chemical Romance, Guns and Roses or rap music. Outkast is about as deep as I'm willing to delve into that.
I just don't get it and I'm probably alone in this. I do love Massive Attack, Portishead, and Jon Spencer Blues Explosion. Like I said, my tastes are varied.
