Sunday I went to see Disturbia with my son. Now bear with me, I am not good with names, but you have to see it to appreciate it.
It starts out with the son coping with losing his father. So when a teacher brings it up, he punchs him in the face. He ends up getting 3 months house arrest, with the ankle bracelet.
His mom cancelled his xbox live, his itunes...so he ends up watching the neighborhood.
Enter fine young vixen next door, moved in from the city. He also notices an odd neighbor, that he rarely sees, and at first thinks nothing of him.
On the news is a report of a missing girl, and that the last person seen with her has a blue Mustang. This neighbor does, with the same front left damage as reported.
Thats when the festivities begin. The house arrest guy, the hot neighbor girl, and Ron the asian friend then start to watch this guy continuously.
Throw in the mix a cop who is the cousin of the teacher he hit, and the story unfolds.
I enjoyed it. There was good suspense, believeable story, and some pretty good acting. I have teenagers, so I see where the mixture of emotions come from. They did a nice job, and Ron was some pretty good comic relief.
The bad guy is always good in no matter what he does. He was a guard in The Green Mile, and a cop in Bait, and a bad guy in Heat.
I would have liked it a little darker, but that is just my taste. The way they put the puzzle together was a little reaching too.
All in all, I'd give it a 7 out of 10
