So, the end of the year movie awards hype season is once again upon us, and as usual, I can't help but to notice that there are movie ads appearing that hype new movies I haven't heard of as being the latest Oscar hopeful. I, for one, tend to get really annoyed when the movie companies wait until the last moment before the deadline to get their movies out in time to be considered for the awards, and then only release them in one or two markets (say New York and LA) and wait until they've been nominated to relase them to the rest of the country. So, my mumm question is this. Should the movie companies release movies in time for the paying public to decide if they deserve an award, or is this a really stupid thing to get worked up about?
A. The public should get to see the movies before they're nominated.
B. Shut up Farside, this is a stupid mumm. |
