this is the last poem I ever wrote, lol...
I walked with the lightning
Fell with the rain
ran from the joy
stayed for the pain
watched the storm come
ran into its heart
Prayed it wouldn't end
that the clouds would never part.
I took comfort in the shadows
That the clouds threw over me,
I hid in the darkness within me.
I prayed it would be easier
To wake up the next day
I'd smile and pretend
I could hold the storm inside me at bay.
Thunder roars inside my head
My heart pounds with the fear
I wallowed in the knowledge
That another storm would soon be here
The winds pick up again
The air chills so cold
And once again the weather,
chooses to match my soul.
...In it, I relax.
I'll take comfort in this storm
It fixates me so easily
again, its turbulence holds true,
its fury true to form.
Even on a sunny day, I watch the clouds insanely.
Only because I know,
soon it will be raining.
