Marcel Frost is a celebrated recruit who transferred with Eric Haw from Ohio State. Frost broke his left leg on one of the final plays of Jackson State's spring game and the recovery has been slow and painful. Frost was cleared to take his brace off and run on the leg a few weeks ago, but getting in game shape may take longer; reportedly he's aiming for the Sept. 13 Southwestern Athletic Conference opener against Texas Southern as a realistic goal.
Frost is prototypical in terms of size and 6 ft. 4.3 in 256 and runs about 4.8 he was originally projected to DE. Frost is a talented athlete with all the physical tools, however there are some health and character questions, but a big year puts him in the 5th round.

Staying with JSU's receiving corps: Jaymar Johnson is 5'11.3 183" 4.41 [Est.] [Think a rawer Anthony Miller] and he shares balls with Chasio Thomas 6'0.7 204 4.48 [think a rawer Eric Moulds] and former Hinds JC Standout Terrence Jones 5'11.2" 199 4.46 [Think a faster Josh Reed] 1 could be drafted and 2 could be UDFAs, however JSU's 2 QB system and inconsistent O-Line might prevent their talents from shining.
JSU TB Eric Haw who transferred with Frost 5'11.6" 215 despite sub 4.4 rumors he looks more like 4.48 to me and is better between the tackles, but he has good wiggle and decent hands.
Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie Tennessee State CB 6'1" 181 4.43 is probably the top CB prospect in the HBCU ranks, he has good speed and hips, he needs to get stronger but otherwise solid could be a nickel nearly right away, [think of a taller Chris Cash].
Edward Williams of Lane College WR 6'2.6 206 4.59 is not lightning quick like last years Jacoby Jones, [think Mushin Muhammad] but is a very good all around receiver with good hands and he blocks downfield.
Henti Baird Hampton University SS 6'0.5" 204 4.47 a strong safety-455lb squat, who could play FS, explosive- 40 inch Vert, can cover the slot, but hit like a LB he has close to Coy Wire’s upside and versatility.
Marcus Dixon Hampton University DE 6-4, 299 5.12 Dixon has a very good chance at the next level but will likely move inside to DT, he’s like a “Poor Man’s” Marcus Spears
Johnathan Harris Tuskegee University CB 5-10, 182 4.48 a little like Phillip Buchanon
Zach East a John Mobley type, run and hit linebacker, at 6'0.6" 237 he could play inside in the right system or "Will."
Brian Witherspoon Stillman College CB 5'9.3" 163 4.41 to small to be an every down CB but he is cat quick and can cover in the slot he's a lot like former Fresno State CB Tierre Sams.
