For years, there have been cow statues in many, many cities that have caused a great deal of entertainment and discussions. In fact, when they were in Houston, my (now deceased) husband and I went on a hunt for all of the statues located throughout Houston. It was great because it also took us in areas of town that we wouldn't have been exposed to normally.
Now.....
Austin Guitar Town is being toured in Austin. A long process and worked out in connection of Gibson Guitars, the tour is being set up as of November 27th and maps will be available as of December 8th.
I am really looking forward to the exploration possibilities......and seeing how creative the various artists have been in creating the various guitars. In May 2007 (I believe), the tour will come to an end when the 10 feet guitars will be sold in an auction.
What would my future husband think if I told him that one thing he would have to accept would be a statue of a guitar in our own front yard!! lol...
Just kidding. Besides, the auctioned off prices would probably far exceed what I would have available in my own bank account!!
But, can you imagine explaining to your love one that, "Hey, honey! Guess what I bought today!!"......
LOL...
At any rate, at least it wouldn't be a cow to be tipped over... oh, yeah, cow tipping is done at night. Don't know about cow tipping -- ask a cowboy!! :)
Laters...
