Moon Bath

Darkness surrounds me,
As nighttime closes in,
Stars fill the sky,
And something awakens within.
It often starts as quiet,
As the wind upon the sea,
Then steadily and softly,
It washes over me.
Sometimes I try to stop it,
Even though I know,
That the best way to enjoy it,
Is just to let it flow.
It's the memory of your soul,
That visits me each night.
It's the feeling I can't let go,
And know not how to fight.
Words can not explain it,
And deep inside it stays,
Waking in the darkness,
And sleeping through the days.
I can only hope you'll come back to me,
And end this lonesome plight,
Of two hearts that only merge,
In the shadows of the night.
