Life is a long and complex journey that includes the tragic and the sublime, the good times and the bad times. Where can you turn when the bad times come? Who will keep your feet from stumbling when your eyes are filled with tears?

Even your closest friends and family can disappoint you-just as you can disapoint them. You can be confident that there is someone who will never let you down, someone who will be there for you in every season of your life, someone who will lift your burdens and provide light for your feet as you walk along the dark and lonely stretches of life's road. That someone is God. He has promised never to leave you nor forsake you. He will walk with you every step of the way.

Keep me safe, O God, for in you i take refuge PSalm 16:1 NIV

God, thank you for the comforting light of your presence and the comforting streangth of your arm that led me cafrefully through the dark places in my life. Amen.

What would life be like without spring's warmth after a long and cold winter, rest after an exhausting and difficult day, achievement after an intense and tiring struggle? Promises of the reward to come mark your life. In fact, life is a promise in the process of being kept.

You may wonder at times if your life is no longer a bright promise. You may lie awake in the night hours rehearsing your regrets that this me be so. But God is the great promise keeper. You can count on what he has promised. He is already aware of every poor choise, every lost oppertunity, and every wasted second. He knows, and your mistakes grieve him. He takes you as you are and restores hope to your life.

Your promise revives me; it comforts me in all my troubles. PSalm 119:50 NLT

God i will focus my eyes on your faithulness rather than on my own failures. I will look to you to help me fufill the promise of all that my life can be. Amen.

Each life is a journey-a uniquely personal passage through time. As you travel through difficult places, you need not give into hopelessness. God is able to bring you safely to your destination when you place your trust in him.

God is the Author of each journey. He knows the way through every dark and frightening valley. He knows the safest path along each high and treacherous mountain trail. God knows where the cool, refreshing waters flow and where you can find the provisions to meet each of your needs. He shares the weight of the burden you carry and causes you to lie down and rest in lush green medows. He gives you hope and courage as you walk with him, step by step, one day at a time.

You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever. PSalm 16:11 NLT

God, as I face the challenges of my persnal journey through life, I am thankful for your presence that guids and protects me. Amen

Time is both an enemy and a friend. You do your best to conquer it and yet it continually slips through you fingers. You measure up your life your successes and your productivity in terms of minutes hours days weeks. You often lose your hope in the future and in the fulfillment of your dreams as time passes. God Isnt subject to your concept of time for he is the master of the universe. When you place your trust in him you can know with certainty that you have all the time you need to do what he has created you to do and that you have plenty of time to become all that he created you to be. Your brightest hour is always ahead never behind! LORD I trust you. I have said, "You are my God" My life is in your hands. Psalm 31:14-15
Many people believe that such things as money, possessions, good looks, intelligence, and even power are the measure of thier lives. None of these is inherently bad yet none can predict happiness or instill a lasting sense of worth. What if you were to awaken one morning to find that your wealth and power has vanished? What if your attractiveness faild and your intelligence falterd? Would hopelessnessand despair overcome you? God places little importance on outward appearances or the size of bank accounts. He measures your life and hearts by a different standard. He teaches you that humility leads to greatness and that you achieve true succsess when you give yourselves to others. No measure other than the eternal love of God is a true measure. God examine me and know my heart test me and know my nervouse thoughts. See if there is any bad thing in me. Lead me on the road to everlasting life. Pslam139:23-24
A solitary tree standing in the middle of a field may appear to be deserted by all else. In fact, however, it is not. The Warmth of the sun kisses that tree the gentle breezes caress it the fellowship of birds on the wing gladden it and a small underground universe of lively creatures stimulate it. At some time in your life you experience loneliness. Loneliness is natural and should be appreciated rather than feared. In seasons of loneliness you discover that you are never truly alone no more than that solitary tree. People you barely notice during times of social prosperity surround you and can become valuable friends. But the greatest discovery is that God is constantly with you warming you with love and you can learn to hope in him. I love the Lord because he hears and answers my prayers. Because he bends down and listens i will pray as long as i have breath! Psalm 116:1-2
A blazing wood fireis glorious, but when it's spent nothing remains but white gray ash a somber contrast to the rough cut log that once lay on the hearth and the colorful flames that danced high in the air filling the room with warmth. At times you may feel that your life is reduced to ashes, that your strengthis gone, and that the flame you once carried inside is cold and colorless. But God promises that even at your lowest point, even when you feel there is nothing left with which to rebuild your life, he is there to rekendle the flame within you. His indwelling spirit offers hope and strength for you to begin again, and his never failing love shines brightly on your path, illuminating each step you take. Why am I discouraged? Why so sad? I will put my hope in God! Pslam 43:5
Few people pass through life without feeling the sting of betrayal, the loss of friendship, or the failure of important relationships. At those times, you may feel that the pain of a broken heart will cling to you for the rest of your days and that you will never be whole again. Sometimes you may even wonder if God still loves you. God does love you, purely, simply, and unconditionally. Even if your pain is the result of your own actions, God's love does not condemn you. It urges you forward, calling you to forgive yourself, make amends, and become a better person. His love is constant and predictable. And with the assurance of his love comes hope-hope that you will love again, trust again, offer your heart again. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever. Psalm 73:26
Problems always seem most daunting just before the dawn-right before the morning light climbs above the horizonand slips quietly into the room. In that darkest hour, shadows of fear and discouragement may threaten to overwhelm you. But the morning light chases away the nighttime, restoring your perspective, filling you with hope, and offering you the promise of a bright new day! The light of god's love is much like the morning sunlight. It dispels darkness from your heart and sweeps away shadows of fear and discouragement. It renders harmless specters of condemnation that would harshly remind you of past failures. God's wonderous light allows you to see yourself as he sees you a new creature, forgiven, ready to begin again. The lord is my light and my salvation; whome shall i fear? the lord is the strength of my life; of whome I shall be afraid? Psalms 27:1
