I'm a scientist. I develop printing inks for packaging. My job is stressful as hell. I travel a lot and generally fucking hate work. I like to play on the weekends. And boy do I play! My friends and I turn it out every weekend.
I'm married, have been for 17 years. My wife and I have a very open relationship. We're deeply in love and have learned not to take certain things too seriously.
We have 3 daughters, which is pretty much karma getting back at me.
I work out a lot, often at a painful intensity. Even though I do it often, I do not like it. Frankly, I would rather sit on my ass, but those pecs aren't going to build themselves now or they?
My upbringing was the stuff HBO specials are made of. Beyond the norm of even those people who say, "but what is normal".
I believe I am unique, but then again, so does everyone. Everyone thinks they're the lead character in the movie of life. Well, to me, you're all supporting cast. LOL I would love to have tattoos all over my ass and have purple hair, but I have a high paying corporate job. My nonconformity has limits. I'm too old to fight that now. I'm a freak at heart, but I'm just trying to keep food on the table.
Interests
Lets see. I read a lot. I write some, and I watch a lot of philosophy. Politics is cool too. Most people don't like such heavy subjects, but hey, that's me. Of course, sex is never far from my mind. I'm thinking this is normal though and probably doesn't need mentioning, but just in case....
I'm usually listening to an audiobook and reading at least one book at the same time. When you spend as much time as I do in airports, books don't last long. My favorite author is Chuck Palahniuk. He's a genius. I've also read most of what Stephen King and Dean Kootnz have written. I read a lot of nonfiction too, mostly science and philosophy stuff.
I work out a lot. Mostly because I am old and have to. I am partial to lifting weights, and I've been doing it for a long time.
Movies
Oh man. I've seen nearly everything. I love to talk about movies. I tend to like films that you can call art. Some of my favorite directors are......Christopher Nolan, Tim Burton, David Lynch, David Fincher, Martin Scorcessi, Terry Gilliam, Wes Anderson, Coen Brothers, Farley Brothers (guilty pleasure).....
Idols
I'm not the kind of person who gets star struck. I can't really think of an idol per say. I mean, I see so many people in normal life who inspire me. Single mothers raising kids. Parents working two jobs to make ends meet. People not only over coming handicaps, but excelling. Inspiration and miraculous people are all around you if you look.
Video Games
I like video games, but I'm picky as hell. I tend to like roleplaying games. I'm a Rockband and Guitar Hero fanatic. Oblivion is a great game too. Syd Myer's Civilizations is great. I used to be a PC gamer, but I don't have time now. We have a Wii, an Xbox, an Xbox 360, Playstation 2, Gamecube, PSP, Nintendo DS, and Gameboy Advanced.
