REDMOND, Wash. -
Software giant Microsoft Corp. says executives will make a "significant" company announcement Thursday morning, unrelated to its bid for search engine operator Yahoo Inc.
The Redmond, Wash.-based company said it will hold a press teleconference at 11:30 a.m. EST (8:30 a.m. PST) with Chief Executive Steve Ballmer, Chief Software Architect Ray Ozzie, Bob Muglia, senior vice president of the server and tools business, and General Counsel Brad Smith.
