Sharkfin's blog: "Chaos"

created on 10/03/2006  |  http://fubar.com/chaos/b9661
Good Morning. It’s 65 degrees out in the shade, color me happy. Well it’s shaded out because the sun rays have yet to dance across the landscape of Michigan and tickle the shores on the ways to Illinois. In the News today McDonald’s is all up in arms over the term “McJob” Apparently their tired of the definition of that word. noun: (slang) a low-paying, dead-end job. Well, fancy that. The article goes on to say that 10% of Americas work force at one time held a job at the fast food empire. Hmmm, imagine that. They are tired of people just using it as a stepping stone. Well, let us just review the facts. Shall we? Mostly always it would be a first time job for a child still attending school. That’s a fact. I would rather see little Bobby or Susie working there slinging burgers and fries and splling cokes and shakes on the floor or the counter. Then holding a job at the Nuclear resistor plant. Since you need to be 35 to be President of the United States that job is out of the question. Although 5th Graders can spell Potato without any trouble…Mr. Gore … where was I… Oh yeah and I guess I would not really like to see a gun in the hands of 15 and 16 year olds holding a job as county constable or police chief. Although, pick a neighborhood in some of the major cities of the world and a few already are packing a gun and deem themselves as the police…Oh how about that huge Cocaine bust the 42,000 pounds of Cocaine seized on a ship coming over from Panama. Imagine there will be some families disappear from the face of the earth over that loss of review for the drug lords. Back to Kids and holding first time jobs at Mickey D’s …Ooops no pun intended My Mick’s. Let’s see Rocket scientist needs a bit more training then two years of Algebra so I fear letting a 16 year old at the controls of a 5 billion dollar space station would be, asking for trouble. Hmmm 16 year olds and first time jobs…Trash Jockey would not be to appealing to them so they will not do that job, hell it’s hard enough getting a 16 year old to clean the trash out of their bedroom. My god, Mandy I think saves candy wrappers as a collectable item…Let alone clothes on the floor, hanging on the door and draped from the shades… Hmmm oh she is past 16.. so that doesn’t count anymore. 16 year olds and first time jobs… Oh I know, pick me pick me! Ok, Marty in the first row, your answer please… I would say Paper routes. There ya go. Hmmm… bicycle perhaps, car… to many things going on at the age frame for them not to drill down a mailbox or 30. Well hells Bells! McDonalds is their kinda place. I can’t think of any other fitting positions most CEO’S already do the work of a 16 year old so no positions open there. I guess McDonalds will just have to be the training grounds of a future work force. So Just pay the kids 25.00 an hour and I am sure not too many 16 year olds will continue to hold that job, why you ask? Because the older work force would love taking a job of that stature and that wave scale and not bitch or act like the world owes them better then they have…. Hmmm…. I guess I rattled on enough for one day. Have a wonderful Thursday in what ever your Thursday will bring or you bring to it and make sure you smile next time you walk in or pass by a McDonalds and thank your lucky stars that if you are speeding a 16 year old cop doesn’t pull you over… A huge hug and a McFrosty pat.( Frosty, isn’t that a Wendy’s thing) Oh well! Marty
