So the elections came and went. Obama (aka the Savior) is now going to be the President. I hope that all his promises that he made when he was stumping for votes come true. But like most politico's it's all idle banter. What's the Chinese curse..."may you live in interesting times"? Well I can say that we are.
I read that DHL is laying off 9,500 people and closing over 200 hubs. So that means there's no more domestic shipping. What a nice way to start the holiday season, here's a pink slip..have a nice life.
The Stock Market is worth poopy, companies are going under (can you say Circuit City and Tweeters?), and the housing market is a joke. But as long as we have inane things like American Idol, Professional Sports, and the E! network and the like to keep the masses in a stupor, all will be good. Dumb and distracted.
The more I deal with people, the more I loathe them. The level of utter stupidity I see and read about is staggering. Ever see the movie "Idiotacracy"? That's what I'm talking about. We're so obsessed over what Jessica Simpson's wearing or what Brad Pitt thinks about Iraq, drivel like that. Think for yourselves people. Don't be sheeple. But then again I'm on the ground zero of brain drain (fubar) so what does that say about me? Don't answer that and upset my delicate sensitivities.
Now that the holiday season is creeping up upon us, my dander starts to really rise. The force feeding of dopey holiday music, tv programming and the false "good cheer to all" begins. So we're supposed to be nice to one another for a few weeks and then revert back to being ass wipes? I don't buy into any of this schiesse. I try to be nice and
all whenever I can, not just because it's " expected " at this time.
Whatever, nobody cares what I write, think, say. It's just a bunch of words, zero's and ones on a server somewhere. But let's concern ourselves with the new AC/DC cd *available at your ubiquitous Walmart* or oobies and stuff that really matters.
