     GUILD CHARTER:

This guild design is based off from the early guilds of the 1300BCs to 1400BCs when conquering factions would take over full countries and bring all artisans together under 1 roof in different divisions. As interest grows in the different divisions over time just like in history each division may become its own separate guild. I chose this approach because guilds haven't been around in our factions since the 1980's.

 

NAME-The Name of the Guild shall be The Guild Alliance

Propose-The propose of The Guild is to teach and practice trades and services to better enrich the medieval experience of all people involved in the medieval organization of Teutoburg Forest.

Guild colors- Red, Black, Silver, and white.

Goals

1. To bring more medieval realism to the sport.

2. Better educate people it the way of medieval life.

3. To bring more interest to the organization so that it can grow.

4. To make our medieval experience more fun for everyone.

Membership

Any person that wishes to be a member can join as long as they adhere to the guild laws.

Guild requirements

If you want to join and you have a unique skill that you wish to teach others you must make or show your trade in its best quality to the guild master. You will gain a proper rank based on your skill and contribution. Based on these things and how many people successfully learn your craft from you will be able to keep ranking up. The greatest works of guild members are to be displayed in the guild treasure room for a time. For merchants of the guild when selling items the guild gets 10 percent of payment for total sales. If guild credits are used the guild will compensate the crafter of item bought. Please refer to the rules for the rest of the requirements.

4. All members are expected to follow the social order of command.

5. The Guild ranking system is for Guild uses and your duties to your house, faction, knight, or Kinsman comes first then the guild.

6. Work together as a whole no matter which division you’re in in the guild.

7. When expected to do a task and you slack off you must know there will be consequences.

8. What goes on in the guild stays in the guild unless specified otherwise.

9. When accepting a task or contract within the guidelines of the rules it must be honored until its completion no exceptions.

10. As a Guild we have the right to exercise price and quality control. If there are any questions about this refer to the Guild master.

Guild Book

The charter is the Beginning of the Guild book so I'm not re posting it here. Below is the rest of the Guide book so far. Because we’re in development more will be added as we go.

 

The Guild Alliance

Ranks with Descriptions

 

Guild Master- Founder and coordinator of the guild.

Mercenary- non guild member hired by the guild for a limited time to perform services.

Currier-Member of the messaging service of the guild who delivers documents letters ect. At all events and at all times.

Master craftsman - person that runs or is in charge of a whole guild subdivision such as Master Brewer would be the head of the brewing in the guild with the most experience. He’s the best of the best in his field and teaches all others.

Journeyman craftsmen- A member of a division of the guild who is on their way to becoming a master of their craft, who teaches intermediate members their craft.

Inceptor craftsman- A member working on getting his craft perfected to journeyman who teaches people new to his craft the basics.

Basic Guild Member- I think this is self-explanatory.

Worker - A basic Guild member who volunteers time on Guild construction and ground maintenance on a regular basis.

Servant - A basic guild member that volunteer’s time for assisting in food and drink services for our house potlucks and special guild events on a regular basis.

Guard - basic member that takes up arms in the name of our house in representation of our Guild or in the defense of our guild.

Slave- Basic member that is of no rank outside the guild that puts on a performance acting as a slave to a ranking guild member or a ranking house member to make them look good for showmanship and the portrayal of exotic culture within the guild.

 

                                  Guild Camp Attractions-coming soon

Guild Hall - The Guild hall is where we hold our guild events (such as eating), meetings, ceremonies, trade negotiations, ECT.

Guild Treasure Room - A place to put on display for a time period the best works of our members, hold trophies gathered from careless drunks and things acquired from enemy guilds or factions.

Hookah Bar- the Hookah bar is a place to hang out, enjoy foreign customs, exotic teas, and soothing tobaccos.

Mystery Bar and Lounge-The mystery bar and lounge is for people to enjoy a shady style bar environment where stories can be created for the entertainment of everyone in teutoburg forest while being served alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages that are a mystery as to what they are.

Rogues Kitchen-a kitchen that is an extension of the Haldane Kitchen used for food prep and tea making for the various events and the cooking Division of the guild.

Alchemy Shack- the alchemy shack is basically the crafting station for most of the Guild divisions. It is where candle making, bobbles, perfumes; colons, belts, satchels, garb, crafting components, and more are made.

Pagan Alter- Due to the fact that our House is pagan and the Christians do their thing in the main camp, we respectfully have our own alter on the guild grounds. It is for actual practice and pagan reenactments. Out of respect for any Christian members we may get into the guild it will remain concealed unless in use.

Guild services and classes

Educate class-we will teach proper medieval educate for dealing with people of rank or royalty.

Escort service- no not the adult rated kind. If a lady or Royal need to be escorted around for their safety our guild will offer trusted members of the guild to ensure their safety and protection.

Courier service- trained carriers will be sent threw out the camps at events to exchange messages among the factions and members. Every Guild member is requested to donate at least an hour to this service per event. When we have enough members it will be broken down into shifts. This service is a free service provided to the kingdom by the guild as payment for allowing the existence of the guild. The rules of this service are as follows. 1. Only sealed (wax seals) messages may be sent. If a Currier does not perform the proper Educate according to the rank of the person receiving the message they may be sent back to the guild hall for punishment while another Currier is sent to properly deliver the message.

Contract Service- If you’re a lazy person of rank (no names mentioned) and you need something done around your camp or in general, you can for a trade, fee, or barter for a contract with the guild to get someone to help. As long as it doesn't violate the laws of the guild or its House the contract will be honored upon payment.

                                                 Guild Ranking Ceremony

With a mutual Agreement of ranking guild members by majority vote a member that has been brought to the attention of the Guild Master for Great progress, contribution, and attendance by the craft master they are under will be given a ceremony. At this ceremony they are to present a present of their field to the Guild Master, their Craft master, and lord Talon. It will then be judged by majority vote and if it is deemed of good quality the member will receive a guild rank promotion and a drink from the Guild Master from the Mystery Bar at the Guild Hall. Depending on what rank they achieve there may also be a gift in return. There, work unless entertainment or food will then be displayed in the Guild Treasure room for 2 events for all to see and give praise.

                                                              Guild Fees

If you don't contribute time or supplies to the guild and you’re a member of the guild then it is requested that you make donations as you can to the guild to help keep it going. If you do all you can for the guild and want to do more you can donate supplies, food, drink, or funds as much as you want. If you go above and beyond you will receive guild credits to buy services, supplies, and crafts ect. from the guild for your personal use or for that of your house or clan.
