I've been doing some thinking on the state of affairs that the world has brought it self to. You've got almost every damn country in the mid-east at war with themselves or their neighbors. You got the earth quake and nuclear reactors and tsunami in Japan. Then there's is China with its massive over population problem ( what? so they don't make condoms for asians?). In the southern part of the world (both Africa and South America) poverty and disease run so rampid that no amount of medicine, vaccines, food, or international aid will help as much as we would hope. Oh boy!!! We helped a half of a percent of the population overcome their misfortunes. Now don't get me wrong, I am all for helping and doing my part to make things a little easier, but there is only so much we can do. Which brings me to our own part of the world... America.

I love our country. I love the people in it. The diverse social attitudes that can be found in this wonderful land are astounding to say the least. To think that we have every spectrum of life that one can think of living right here amongst us. From the filthy Oprah rich people to the filthy ethiopian poor people. From the Einstien theory of realitivity intelligent to the want to pet the bunny Lenny dumb. And you've got everything possibly imagineable in between. It is truly a magnificent thing we got goin here. The problem is that we have let our government take actions throughout the world that truly have nothing to do with us. We've let them take our family, friends, brothers, sisters, fathers and mothers and put them into dangerous situations where their lives are in great peril at all times. In doing so, we've allowed them to also take money from the education budget, the social security budget, the government assistance budget, and health budget to fund these wars or military actions on countries we've no reason to even be dealing with.

The war in Afhganistan and Libya, I understand. We got attacked. Our enemy hid in a country loyal to him. We attack back. OK. Got it. Straight forward honest reaction. Got Gadaffi bombing and killing his own people for trying to make a difference in their country. OK. I understand. Got to help the little guy when they need it. And yes... I know that that is how all the actions that we take in the world should be looked at but they can't be. They just can't. Most of the time we get involved it's only for our own self interest. Wether it be gain in the oil fields or in the finacial market all together. But when we have so many of them going on and its driving the economy back at home to points that are lower than the great depression, its time to stop and think. Maybe we should help ourselves first. How can we claim to be an example for the rest of the world when we're in a war of our own. Not one of guns or bombs or even the war on drugs. But a war on poverty and separatism of the classes. The social war raging within our own boundaries is ridiculous. And until we can take of that we let the rest of the world deal with their own issues. 

Let us help those that truly need it. Not just those in our home. But those abroad also. Not those in need of weapons or military, but those in disasterous need such as Haiti and Japan or any other country affected by the forces that we can't control. Let us help those who need medical attention or nutritional needs. By all means, please let us help in the peaceful matters of the world. Not the violence that we've grown so accustomed to. Let us rest of minds and hearts and throw up our hands so that they can't hold the guns that we've clung to for so long. Let our souls have peace. Our concious be clear. Its just a matter of saying...ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
