This is turning into quite a month for me! Lessons are coming at me, left and right.
I hate it when I get calls from the police or the sheriff's department! It means one of the teenagers has probably done something they shouldn't have. Diplomatic way of putting it, you think?
Middle grandson Tim, just about a week away from his 16th birthday, decided to visit a house in town with one of his friends. This particular house was raided this afternoon - a drug raid - while he and his friend sat there! Guns were drawn, kids flat to the floor, handcuffed - the sort of thing you see on Cops! What do you know, the little shit had marijuana in his pocket, surprise, surprise!!! So, I became the happy recipient of the Sheriff's Department call, telling me to come and get my little darling.
Luckily, he was cooperative. He'll be referred to Human Services, put on probation of sorts, and woe unto him if he steps one little piggy-toe out of line in any way.
He should know better. He has seen his mother's life spiral right down the toilet for years! Why, you ask, would he do this? I asked him the same question. He likes the way it makes him feel, or not feel, he tells me. Well, hell! How about we take our meds for bipolar disorder, instead - that will make you feel different, too!!
Sweet Mother of Darkness, I am so pissed at him I could chew nails and spit rust. Or toss him out on his skinny backside!
Now, his big brother, the 19 year old, is all unhappy with me because I brought up his Mom's drug and mental problems in front of the sheriff. Now, I'm the bitch - again. Think it's been at least a year since he called me that - how time flies when you're having fun!
Sorry, I'm tired! It's been quite awhile since I wanted to run away from home. I'm thinking about it now! I'll probably wish I hadn't blogged this, but I really needed to say this - to somebody. Tag, you're it!!
I'll survive. I always do. But I get so tired of this kind of thing. Don't worry, I won't toss him out. Yet!
