DIVA's blog: "The real me"

     I'm calling this blog Love...is it what we seek because after reading a romantic novel, it got me thinking about it.  Love is a complicated emotion. We all want to find that one person we want and need. The one that takes our breath away and we can't live without. It confuses us and complicates our lives. We sit there day and night thinking of this person and wanting more then life itself for them to love or want us in return. I write romantic poetry and novels myself. None have been published because of the fear no one will enjoy my work as much as I do. I also read romantic novels and wonder "Will my life ever turn out as perfect as this?" The answer to that question is simple "No". Real life and real love are not a fictional novel. It is not made up. But it is what we make it to be. We can get the love we seek and have that fictional love if we really work hard at it and desire it. So, as I sit here in my bed I just think about it. How hard do we really try to get what we really want in life? Not only the love we seek, but in other ways as well. 

      Is love really what we seek or are we just wanting to meet someone that makes us feel complete and secure? My answer to that is "Yes to both." We all want to find that one person that is not only our lover but our best friend as well. We want to come home and smile knowing that he or she is there and that we are fully accepted by this person. We are all capable of loving another and getting what we seek. But just as I think from time to time, think of this yourself. "Are they worth risking it all for?" If your answer is yes to that question, then I say go for it. No matter how long it takes. Be strong and be willing to let them in. Get that love you want and be all you can be for that person. Its what I hope for myself one day.
