JUST CHECKING IN AGAIN Its stupid early right now, trying to wake up. I have an early appointment this morning, so I figured I would see if my fingers can type at this hour!! We have a few meetings this week just discussing the game plan, and talking shop with a few people. Next week we have a huge show that we need everyone to come too that can!!! It a VERY IMPORTANT show for us for a few reason. I wish I could get into it but some of you already know. So just ask around & you'll find out why but I can't get into it till after that show. Its been a few days since I managed to post here,I hope to have some news about LoveSick Radio next week Its no great secret - its just that I want to be sure before I talk about it. Anyway, some meetings happening over the next few days - just discussing the game plan. We are also tracking another song demo for the record sat. at the studio. moday morning... Good morning everyone. Monday morning and its back to LoveSick Radio business. I am up late today so its a quick one. The show the other night was cool but also a little weird – But all the bands were cool – we had no soundcheck and McGees monitor went out half way through the set but we made it through. Thanks to everyone that was there. OK - I dont have a lot for you today - I have a day of working at home, phonecalls etc, and I intend to make the most of it. LSR have been rehearsing yesterday & today and the songs are sounding great. The last few weeks we have been hitting it very hard. I can't wait to hit the road. On the radio side of things the song has been doing really well on WNCI thanks to everyone thats been requesting it.& we fucking love you for it. PLEASE keep it up. We can't do this without you. & we will never be able to thank you enough for all that you do. So I woke up a little thoughtful today. I realized that year has gone by, and it has been a fantastic one at that. But how did it fly by so quickly? It seems like a few weeks ago that LSR was just starting to play live, and here we are. A lot of the past 12 months have been pretty hectic, with my schedule (of my own making) getting crammed with one thing after another. Have I missed the beauty of certain things because I have been working my ass off? Have I had my head down so much that the world passed me by? A little dramatic perhaps, but I woke up early this morning thinking about these things. I dont have a point to all this - I just felt the need to put it down. Make of it what you will. I have to tell you that I have loved putting this Blog together this year. It enables me to get my thoughts out and share a lot of them with you each morning, and I have high hopes that, as the band gets out there more, we will see more traffic through here. But I need you all to know that everyone who has taken part in the LoveSick Radio Family with us this year is very special to me. To know that even at this early stage in the bands career, there are people who want to take part,post comments and thoughts, and generally get involved in a positive way......this makes me feel very humble and very happy. A HUGE thank you to every one of you. Well, I suppose I should get down to Starbucks. A non-fat White Chocolate Mocha with no whip is calling me. david

First of all, I want to apologize for not posting more regularly. When I am sick, I just want to crawl into a hole, and hide from the world. So I do!!! But the good news is that I am feeling WAY better now – I just have the final stages of it, which is nothing to how I felt a few days ago. I want to thank everyone for all the Get Well messages, virtual cards and emails that I received. Lots of Vitamin C advice, which I listened to.....lots of 'cut down the caffeine advice, which I ignored!! I felt completely out of the loop & I couldn't wait to get a guitar on again and start rehearsing. I've done nothing except stay in bed and watch shit TV movies!! I'm going to go down to Starbucks to get me a large coffee with an extra shot of personality - I am a little shellshocked this morning, Maybe its time for a Palm Springs weekend. 1.How do you know when it's time to stop writing new material and whittle down what you've written to an albums worth of material? Well, we kind of wanted to have 20 to choose from. & we are getting pretty close to that. I'd say half of the record is completely finished the other half is getting closer all the time. 2.Do you have any advice for me about writing my own music? Just write what you know and love. Approach your writing with fearlessness and conviction. 3.Do you keep in touch with Jason, Shorty & Smalls anymore? Yes, I do. In fact, I spoke to Shorty day or so ago. He seems very happy and was at one of our show not to long ago. He got on stage to jam for old time's sake. 4.I feel like I have hole in MY personality. How did you pass by this episode? For me, it was all about self acceptance instead of self criticism. Things do change with time. 5.Dave, would you consider having a webcam say in the studio? Absolutely. We have already discussed it. We want you guys "in" from the ground floor. 6. Any words of wisdom you could share to help get over a girl? Let time do it's magic and pray for her happiness and the ability to let go of resentment. 7.Hey Dave I was wondering when you guys were coming out to Vegas Should be soon if all goes well.... 8..What keeps you grounded? I try to live my life with humility, love and acceptance... Doesn't always work, but I try. Thank you. 9.Is there one band that you could definitively call your "favorite"? Not really, but I'd say... Old school: Led Zeppelin, New school: hell I don't know... 10. Dave... any idea when we can start hoping for a LSR tour? Monday 10 1.Do you have a daily practice routine on guitar? Not really, but we rehearse so much that I get it all in then. When I pick up the guitar its mostly to write songs. 2. Are you only playing LSR songs at the upcoming show? Yeah, it will be all LSR. Maybe a few covers but no songs from our old bands. 3. Dave, what kind of recording equipment do you have at home? I have a pro-tools mbox for my laptop. Thats about it. 4. Dave do you have a certain song you like to 'shag' to? Inquiring minds want to know....lol Hmmm...I sure almost anything is great in the moment. Nine Inch Nails maybe... 5. tell me, would it be a faux pas to wear it (Frickin'A shirt) to LSR show??? Not at all. 6. What Cd is in your car stereo right now? None I listen to my iPod in my car. Wait I take that back there is a new song demo c.d. in my car... 7. How do you take your coffee? White Chocolate Mocha from starbucks... 8. How do you avoid the perils of junk food when you're away from home all day working? Do you take your lunch to work with you? In fact, yes I do. I usually bring a P,B & J along to the studio with me to avoid all the Fast Food they sell in the area. 9. I was wondering if you still have to fight the tendency to isolate yourself, or was that strictly addiction related? I go through spells where I do like to isolate for sure. One of my favorite things to do is to get a box set of DVDs and spend an entire day watching a whole season of a program. I'd say I am addictive when it comes to isolation and socialization. I isolate so I can energize for social interaction. 10.Is LoveSick Radio recording everything directly to hard disk? Did you use any tape at all? All to disk. So I have been neck deep in writing a set of songs & practicing with the band. The writing process for this record has been fun & is almost coming to an end. That means the c.d. will be out soon. At some point I can let you in on some details, but we have to keep it low key for now until everything is in place. That's kinda it for my week so far. I really have been just turning the phones off and making music. Thats it from me. Gonna go lay down on a very sexual piece of equipment and sweat with a bunch of women!! Have you seen a Pilates bed? Hi everyone! A lot has been going on , BTW: forgive the lack of content as I will be starting to roll out all kinds of things, but in the mean time I wanted to ask all of you what you would like to hear & see from us. In the coming weeks you'll start to see V-blogs ,podcasts as well as live clips start to appear on this site as well as myspace. We have had a busy week writing and recording as well as a couple shows. Also thank you for ALL the feedback for the different versions of "BDM". We got around 500 e-mails in the 1st day plus a bunch of comments. As you may or may not know based on your feedback thats the version that will get played on radio. love david
