Good Morning. Have you ever heard that the Russians might be controlling the weather? Well perhaps that statement may not be very far from the truth. In Russian air force planes dropped a 25-kilogram sack of cement on a suburban Moscow home last week while seeding clouds to prevent rain from spoiling a holiday. "A pack of cement used in creating ... good weather in the capital region ... failed to pulverize completely at high altitude and fell on the roof of a house, making a hole about 80-100 centimeters," police in Naro-Fominsk said. Before major public holidays, the Russian air force often dispatches up to 12 planes carrying silver iodide, liquid nitrogen and cement powder to seed clouds above Moscow and empty the skies of moisture. June 12 was Russia Day, a patriotic holiday celebrating the country's independence after the breakup of the Soviet Union. Weather specialists said the cement's failure to turn to powder was the first hiccup in 20 years. The homeowner was not injured, but refused an offer of 50,000 rubles ($2,150) from the air force, saying she would sue for damages and compensation for mental suffering. Hmmm seems that capitalism is all over the world! Do rubles have pictures of past leaders on them? Oh well such is life in Russia.
How is your morning? Any plans for the up coming weekend? I am not sure yet what the entertainment committee has in store for us…her dancing to Wii Dance last weekend was so funny I do not know it that can be topped. Phil and I lost our breath do to laughing so hard. Bonnie resembled an Elephant trying to match the beat…or better yet sumo wrestler. Not big like either of those two aforementioned things but the way they pick their legs up and slam them down…trust me, it was more laugh then I can explain in words. That is a video that I wished I had on those rainy days when nothing seems to be going right and you are just down, pop that video in and watch her slam her feet down on the targets…it doesn’t get any better then that. So that is todays bit of Marty’s Mind. Yesterday I logged back into Fox Fantasy Sports for the up coming Fantasy Football league which I had a hoot running last year… already I have two cute stories up for the players in the league. But that is another topic in another era so for now I will say be careful if you hear Russian planes over head, they may just be dropping bags your way.
