Six Nine Suited's blog: "Hello"

created on 10/23/2006  |  http://fubar.com/hello/b17183
Okay, I am going to admit to my laziness. I wrote this as a three part blog on another site. I copied and pasted. So do your best kids, and enjoy Okay, for starters, if you are coming here to listen/read about my usual bitching about the general stupidity of people, you might be a little disappointed. For starters, it was a long weekend. I left town Wed Morning. We started off with playing a newer golf course just south of Madison. It is called Burgamount(or somewhat spelled like that) I am thankful that the company was great. Cause the golf SUCKED. Nice course and all. I just played like shit. I am guessing I didn't want Matt to feel too bad. LOL We continued on the journey, making a short stop(well should had been) at My Moms. But my nephew broke his bike, so I would up driving in circles until I found him. Gave him a ride out to the house. Then we get to Hazel Green area of Wisconsin. This is where Tina(the bride, Now Troys wife) Grew up. Stopped at her parents house, said some hellos. Picked up Colleen(so much for the guys weekend). We went and checked into our hotel. And made our way out to dinner. We found a Sushi/Habatchi style resturant. And damn, did we tear it up there. The sushi was friggin awsome. I might have ate a little too much. But damn was the shit great. and well priced. Plus I had a Tenderloin and Salmon steak too. Ugghhhh...... and wine. I had a little buzz going, thought it was going to be a great drunk night. But after getting back to the hotel, and coming down to the bar. After my 3rd drink. i was falling asleep at the bar. So I elected to go to bed. So thursday, I wake up at 4 someting in the morning, listening to troy set a new world record for longest piss. I open my eyes to have the sun beating down my lids. Now We finally get up, hit some breakfast. We decided to make our way to Dyersfield and check out the "Field of Dreams". Bought JR a bobblehead, and myself a golf shirt and visor. From there we made our way to Galena IL and played golf at the General. Frigging beautiful course. As for the golf game. It was a round filled with 14 good holes, and 4 really shitty holes. But the scenery was awesome. And again, the company was great. I mean, the 4 of us golfing, was a continuious laughstock. After golf, we drove on vapors to this Italian place. Bland food, not good. Well except for the spicey sausage. I think we went to the bar. Oh and then they also had this wild anilmal display in East Dubuque. Pretty much some cows. Nothing really worth seeing. But like a car wreck, we looked. So then we hit the hotel bar I think, then the Riverboat. That first trip was not too bad for a smaller casino. I think we all but Troy came out ahead. Friday morning. Was Guy and Girl Golf. we played this cow pasture of a course. But it looked over the Mississippi. And what some sights from there. Then we got the Tuxes. I have learned a new respect for Matts Feet. As did someone else. then I snuck back to the hotel for some sleep. Waiting on some people to get their asses in town and stuff. So then it was off to the Rehearsal. We car pooled our asses to the church in the middle of no where. Very beautiful church. Well, low and behold. We were running late and missing one Usher. He decided to play poker, and show up a little over a hour late. Well, rehearsal had some laughs along the way. after that, pretty much everyone decided to get drunk. I opted for the "I am playing it safe plan" Okay, This wraps up friday till rehersal dinner. Okay, so Friday night ends up with people getting really drunk and going to the Riverboat. Not the best of ideas for drunk people. It turns out pretty much everyone lost at least $100.00 some more, some less. As we left, talk of burning the place down was mentioned. Thankfully they did not arrest this person. Now from what I heard after that was that people went to the bar. I opted for my room and some spank-a-vision. LOL Actually, just opted for the sleep. But I heard of drunkeness, Pizza runs and Other unmentionables. Since I was not there. I leave it there. But It was confirmed that one person did pass out on the couch in the lobby by the elevators. Saturday morning comes around. Lots of tired and hungover bodies met for breakfast. Lemme tell ya, we were quite the rough looking bunch. Except for the groom. He was smart and limited his drinking. we then split and went to our rooms to start the transformation. Into respectable looking and well dressed men in tuxes. thankfully they came with the shoes. We all met in the lobby, a little later than planned. Misunderstanding of times, 11:30 was thought to be the meeting time, but actually that was at the Church. OOPS on me. We get the the Church and we all were introduced the the Photo Nazi. And it was picture time. WOW. Nothing like wearing a black tux in 85 degree heat and sun. We had fun with the pictures though. Should be cool to see them. Then we went into the sit around and wait mode. Now the wedding, we had some fun with that too. Something about black tennis shoes, tacks and up and down motions. Okay, now I have to figure out where I left off????? Oh, doing pictures at the Church and waiting for the wedding to start. Yeah that was fun. So wedding gets going. There were a few miscues. But a lot of laughter. Tina was a beautiful bride. And Troy shed a tear as she walked down the isle. I was actually smiling for once. Now the only real miscue was they had this white carpet or sheet paper that rolled down the isle. It was tacked down. Well, all the tacks started popping up and pointy end up. Tina was wearing slippers. So Ronny was being the tropper and picking tacks up. It finished with like all 15 tacks being pulled up and well, we sat and Matt and Scott didn't know that Ron was picking up the tacks. And everytime he went to pick them up. Those two would start standing up because he was like the cue to go. Guess you had to be there. Well, the wedding went well. And then it was onto the bus and off to get pictures taken. yes more pictures, and then even more at the reception. Dinner was great, the wine was better, and the beer was free. Some great speeches given. I managed not to swear, say anything stupid. Ronnie made a great one. Then the dance started. Oh yeah. I tried to hide outside. I can't dance. But then the wine was kicking in. The music was what the Dr. Ordered. And low and behold. I made it onto the floor. Now here is how I know it was a great reception. People got so drunk, they complimented me on my dancing and my speech. Talk about the effects that booze has on people. So after the reception. We made our way to the hotel bar.(the reception and hotel were next door to eachother) One guy, got very drunk. Passed out on the patio outside the bar area. Was escorted by security to his room at 6 in the morning after they called the room to verify he belonged there. Another guy was not as lucky. He managed to pass out on the front lawn. He was arrested for public intoxication. Taken to the drunk tank, fined and released on Monday. Not a good way to end the night. So over all, it was a geat week away. Costly, but well worth it.
