Lonesome Call

I cry out, my screams of agony piercing the still of the night

They echo in my head, memories now nightmares as I lay scared
and alone in a sea of despair

 Fear grips my soul making my blood run cold

I mourn the loss of a love I'll always remember

I bleed knowing I'll never rise above the ashes this time
as I reluctantly take my place among the dying embers

A horrifying place so familiar, so dark and cold

 A place even a demon would never call home

I crawl into myself so broken and alone

Frightened and shivering, I slowly make my way,
stumbling, to the place I've always called home

Wishing I could somehow stop the pain, I lay here
and welcome the darkness as it once again embraces
me like a long lost friend

Once again I am shattered, so jagged and raw

Screaming for you, begging you to hear my
lonesome call....
