Linkin Park will headline the Tokyo leg of the 24-hour, 7-continent Live Earth concert series on July 7, 2007.
The band joins other headliners such as Madonna, Bon Jovi, The Police, Sheryl Crow, Kelly Clarkson, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kanye West, Melissa Etheridge, Beastie Boys, Smashing Pumpkins, John Mayer, Faith Hill, Black Eyed Peas, Foo Fighters, Fall Out Boy, Duran Duran, and many more, in playing Live Earth.
Live Earth was founded by Kevin Wall, the Emmy award-winning producer of Live 8, to bring together more than 100 of the world's top music acts to engage an audience of over two billion people with solutions to the climate crisis. Live Earth seeks to inspire its global audience to make meaningful and lasting changes in their lives and spur action by corporations and governments to turn the tide on global warming.
