Like Never Before
Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to take a solemn flight.
To fly away and sail the freeways with not one single thought,
What it would be like to release or generate my very own light.
What it would be like to never be webbed caught or sought.
If I was there and you were here I’d bounce back and we’d both fair.
I’d turn every bit of it around and make it all work out.
I’d balance the roaring Seas and a seashell I’d share.
I’d hold it to my ear listening for your shout.
I’d run up on big white puffy clouds and play with the Sun.
I’d look down upon you and rub your aching head.
I’d tap your shoulder and show you where we really begun.
I’d silently listen very carefully to every word you have said.
I’d come and go,
You’d never know.
I’d sing and dance,
And I’d prance.
I’d never really leave you,
You’d be lost without a clue.
I’d carry you away.
And make you a new day.
If only you knew the real me,
If only you could open your eyes and see.
We’d forever be the two,
That always knew.
If I could take a day,
I’d turn it into night.
I’d shine a light,
And be on my way.
I’d cover the storms,
And make new forms.
I’d shadow the Moon,
And come back real soon.
I’d care for you once more,
Like never before.
