Iin Whom I Trust

Psalm 18:2 “The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust.” Do you know the greatest thing you could do to give God glory? It's not to give a million dollars. It's not to give your body to be burned. It's not to go overseas as a missionary. The greatest thing you could do to glorify God is to believe God. Faith says, “God, you are trustworthy.” Don’t just sing about your belief in a great God or pray about your belief in a great God or even read about your belief in a great God. You must believe Him. A strong faith glorifies God! Meditate on these Names of God today: Prince of Peace, Lamb of God, Bright & Morning Star, Dayspring, The Good Shepherd, Messiah, Alpha & Omega.

Together Not Alone

Mark 1:16-18 Now as He walked by the sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after Me, and I will make you to become fishers of men. At once they left their nets and followed him. In these powerful passages and the two versus after, we are witnessing Jesus’ call of four disciples from their regular occupation as net fishermen. As we see these men called, I believe you will have a better understanding how this account relates to our daily lives. In versus 19 & 20, James and John, his brother, are weaving their nets with tools they used daily, tying knots in cord and mending them. Have you ever thought about what a net is? It’s just a bunch of holes tied together. Furthermore, do you know what a hole is? It’s a “nothing.” And that’s exactly what we are, a bunch of “nothings." ”But if you take a bunch of nothings and tie them together, they become powerful. We are all united together in order to accomplish far more than any one individual could by themselves. Together, we are holding hands and working as one to literally span the globe with one purpose. Be A Fruit Producer

John 15:4-5 “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in Me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing.” One thing you’ll never see is a fruit factory. Now, you’ll see factories for making clothing, cars, and computers, but not a fruit factory. Instead fruit is grown in an orchard. It is dependent upon life. There is no fruit without life. The only way that fruit is going to ripen and grow is in the right climate and with the right nutrients. Just like we can’t grow bananas in Alaska, we can’t grow and produce the fruit of the Spirit unless we’re in the place where the Spirit can produce His fruit in us. And that place is walking and abiding in the Spirit. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Ask God to help you abide in the Spirit to produce the fruit He desires in your life.

God's Fire of Affliction

Romans 8:18 “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” God is going to put every child of His into the fire of affliction. Why? To test us. You see, the faith that can’t be tested, is a faith that can’t be trusted. The times when I have grown the most (and the time you will grow the most) is not when everything has been fine. It’s been when trouble strikes and I have fallen on my face before the Lord and called upon His strength. Think back on your own life. Most likely, the times you have grown the most are those when you were going through sorrow, pressure, or trouble. Isn’t that true? Somebody penned these lines: I walked a mile with pleasure, She chatted all the way. It left me none the wiser, For all she had to say. I walked a mile with sorrow, And ne’re a word said she. But oh, the things I learned from her, When sorrow walked with me.

Joy, The Inside Job

Philippians 4:4 “Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.” Happiness comes from outside circumstances. Joy comes from within. So it’s cruel to say to people who are in sorrow, “Smile, and be happy.” It's better to come alongside and mourn with them than to try and force the square peg of happiness into a round hole of sorrow. The human life is a life of tragedy, sorrow, heartache, and pain. Yet in every difficulty, you can find joy. Happiness is an outside job. Joy is an inside job. There is someone in a nursing home that longs for that joy. Find some time this week to bring the joy of the Lord to them.

Without Him...?

God, when I received this I thought... I don't have time for this... And, this is really inappropriate during work. Then, I realized that this kind of thinking is.... Exactly, what has caused lot of the problems in our world today. We try to keep God in church on Sunday morning... Maybe, Sunday night... And, the unlikely event of a midweek service. We do like to have Him around during sickness... And, of course, at funerals. However, we don't have time, or room, for Him during work or play... Because.. That's the part of our lives we think... We can, and should, handle on our own. May God forgive me for ever thinking... That... there is a time or place where.. HE is not to be FIRST in my life. We should always have time to remember all HE has done for us. MAKE TIME THIS WEEKEND TO LISTEN TO RADIO PROGRAM #2 It will truly bless you. http://www.lightforyourpath.com

Jesus, The Burning Focus

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Do you know what most people have the biggest problem with? Our faith, it is something tacked onto our lives. Jesus said, “No man can serve two masters...”. Do you believe that? You are to have but one goal in your life, and that is to know Jesus Christ personally, powerfully, passionately, and preeminently. Everything else will flow out of that. You say, “But wait a minute. I’ve got other things to do! I’ve got a job. I’ve got to rest. I’ve got to have recreation. I’ve got to have friends. I can’t just narrow my interests to one.” When you bring your life into a burning focus, all of these other things contribute to the main thing. What is the burning focus of your life? Make it Jesus and you’ve made it!

Fix, Face & Forget

Psalm 31:23 “O love the Lord, all ye His saints: for the Lord preserveth the faithful.” Ty Cobb and Babe Ruth were two of the greatest baseball players of all time. Ty Cobb was known for his record number of stolen bases, and Babe Ruth was known for his record number of home runs. What you may not know is that Ty Cobb was also thrown out more than any other man in baseball trying to steal bases. And Babe Ruth struck out more than any other man in baseball! These fellows didn’t let their failures stop them, and neither should you! Fix your goal. Face your faults. Forget your failures. Failure in the Christian life is not final. Failure in the Christian life simply means you just haven't passed the first time. You are not judged on the number of times you succeed, but on the number of times you fail and keep trying. Maybe you or someone you know is feeling discouraged today. Remind them or yourself of the promise in Philippians 4:13. I can do everything through him who gives me strength. LFYP NEWS Radio program #2 "I am free!" is almost ready!
Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is alive and powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword.” I have found that when you don’t apologize for the Bible but accept and teach the Bible, it goes through the devil’s lies like a white-hot cannonball through a crate of eggs. There is power in the Word of God, and Satan does not want you to understand the authority of the Word of God. He doesn’t want you to get the power that will divert his fiery attacks away from your heart — his prime target. When the Word of the Lord and the Lord of the Word become your authority, then Satan and all of his demonic forces will flee, and you are going to have authority for your life. How is the Word of God penetrating your heart? Are you even allowing it? Take a few minutes and ask God to begin a mighty work in you through the power of His Word.

PRAYER REQUEST

Matthew 21:21 “Jesus answered and said...if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.” When a nation loses its ability to discern morality, it embarks on a slippery slope toward self-destruction. When a nation turns its back on the commands of God, He will say, “That’s the last step. I wash My hands. You asked for it. You got it.” America is in a crisis and unless we have a moral rebirth, we will join the graveyard of the nations. It’s time to wake up. Time is passing. It’s time to look up. Jesus is coming. It’s time to sober up. Satan is working. It’s time to pray up. Mountains need moving. Ask the Lord to heal our land, forgiving the iniquities of the wicked by bringing salvation to their souls. YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE just pray!
