She couldn't stand the silence,
She couldn't stand the tears ,
She couldn't stand her life ,
After only fourteen years.
He was her entire world,
She gave him all she possessed,
He did the same in return,
They were thought to be obsessed.
Their love couldn't be reached,
Couldn't be touched by any other,
From two they become one,
They made each other whole.
They filled each others voids,
They fill each others souls.
Everything was perfect,
Everything was great,
Til one damning day ,
They were told they'd have to wait.
Her parents were moving her to a distant place,
They'd be torn apart,
Couldn't see each others face.
They swore they'd make it work,
Vowed to stay together,
Didn't care about the distance,
They'd be together forever.
She gave it all she had ,
She did her very best,
But he still slipped away,
He didn't pass the test.
While she was thinking of him,
He had found another,
He said he couldn't do it ,
He talked it over with his mother.
She was devastated,
Her heart was torn straight out,
She'd been such a fool,
She should have listened to her doubt.
From then on they stopped talking ,
Never spoke again,
While he was with his new girl,
She was dreaming of him.
Every day she'd cry,
She'd try to fight off the pain,
But the hurting never stopped,
It just shot through every vein.
Months went by since the end ,
But she only grew worse,
She couldn't accept what happened,
This was love's curse .
It finally overtook her she couldn't stand it anymore,
She grabbed a picture of him ,
And snuck out the front door,
She walked into the woods .
Found a secluded place ,
Kept thinking of the past,
And how she'd been replaced,
Hours later she was found.
In a pool of blood,
And beside her they found,
His picture in the mud,
On the back read the reason.
Why she took her life ,
What he did to her ,
It seemed he had held the knife,
Though physically he didn't kill her.
He tore her soul apart ,
It was obvious how she did,
It was from a broken heart,
Lying in his bed.
He held his new girl tight,
Slumber patiently waited,
As he turned out the light,
Before he fell asleep.
He lay in bed awake,
He glared at his new girl,
Knowing she were fake.,
His mind drifted to the past,
To the girl he let go.
He knew that he still loved her,
Why he left her, he didn't know,
As he began to sleep,
He felt a presence by his side.
Little did he know ,
His one true love just died,
The phone began to ring,
He felt a shiver down his spine.
He was surprised to hear,
His ex-girlfriend's sister on the line,
When he picked up the phone ,
Her sister screaming said.
"THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT..
IT'S YOUR FAULT SHE'S DEAD!"
He threw the phone across his room,
It slammed into a wall,
He told himself it wasn't real,
Just an ill-tasted prank call.
But still deep down he knew,
Something was really wrong,
He woke his new girl up,
And took her home where she belonged.
He sped his car back home,
And ran to grab the phone,
He ran into his room,
Where he could be alone.
Once he heard a voice,
He said "May I talk to Angel please?"
The words they spoke back,
Made him drop down to his knees,
Through all of their tears,
They told him that she died.
He fell straight down to the ground,
Hung his head and cried,
He took the red eye plane,
Through his fear of flight.
He brought along her picture,
And stared at it all night,
Her family wouldn't speak to him,
They'd pretend he wasn't there.
Until the funeral came,
They saw how much he cared,
Her sister came up to him,
Giving him the suicide note.
He read every single word,
That Angel had wrote,
It said how much she loved him,
Why she had to let life go.
Why living wouldn't work,
Without his love to know,
He stood above her casket,
Crying out his eyes.
Praying up to heaven,
That he could lay with her and die,
But then he glanced into his hand,
At the note she left behind.
And read it once again,
With all the strength that he could find,
"…Through all of this I know,
That we were meant to be…
But since you broke my damaged heart,
Live in misery…"
Just a few words from the note,
These were the ones in bold,
He opened up the casket ,
And took her hand to hold.
He said a few words quickly ,
While he could get them out,
"I love you so much…
I'm so sorry…"
Then the tears streamed out,
"I'll love you all my life
From then… now…til forever…
I will fix the past
Then we'll be together"
He could say no more,
He had grown to weak,
Before he closed her casket,
He kissed her lips and cheeks.
He watched her go and leave him,
As the casket lowered down,
He couldn't bare the thought,
Of her six feet underground.
He now knew why she died,
The pain ran through so deep,
But he wouldn't end his life,
Her wishes he would keep.
Although she wouldn't be there,
He knew that she would see,
To prove his love for her ,
He would live in misery.
