A friend's mom has terminal cancer. She's been staying with one of her friends just because her family can't take care of her (busy with work, their own families, etc). And yet they keep saying they're worried and all that. Having had my own father die of the disease I know how awfully precious the time can be and I feel sad to see them fritter it away now that her health is failing. What should I do to make them devote more time to her?
A - Tell them about my experience dealing with a family member who has cancer
B - Keep asking them about her condition and maybe they'll realize that they should be the ones personally caring for her.
C - Forget even talking to them. Some people deal with diseases differently and they might take it the wrong way if you talk to them about it.
D - If they cannot care for her, volunteer to spend time with her instead. |
