OK, anything Chris Cornell (Soundgarden, any of his solo stuff, Audioslave). I have an absolute crush on him. His music gets inside me and moves me. I also love Sting & Peter Gabriel, to date myself :) Collective Soul, Chris, and Nickleback are on my current personal playlists. Newly added - Lacuna Coil, Daughtry (very hot), and OAR. Yes, I have eclectic taste. I do like some country, some hip hop, and even SOME rap :)
I stole this from someone, I hope that's ok. But please, people, there are some simple rules to follow when writing, r.e.:
you're = you are your = belonging to you
it's = it is its = belonging to it
to = direction or destination two = numeral (2) too = also or excess (too much, too many)
there = position their = belonging to them they're = they are
except = excluding accept = approve, concede to, or receive
then = next in a series, at the time, result (if ___, then ___) than = comparison or juxtaposition (this rather than that)
board = flat slab of wood or other material bored = tired of or disinterested in something or without anything to do
This one isn't a homophone, but annoying nonetheless.
chick [pronounced how it is spelled] = baby chicken, slang for girl or woman chic [pronounced SHEEK] = stylish, elegant
It would be ok, I suppose, to write chic to mean chick if chic weren't already a word. I want to drive home the point of the over-use and MISuse of the apostrophe. Nothing is plural anymore, it seems; it's all possessive? And the contractions are left in the dust. Ugh.
