This will be the first of many blogs i'm sure as I have many exciting nights at the job. For those of you that don't know I am an assistant manager at a Movie Theater. Working in the customer service industry has its ups and downs more downs than ups and sometimes its just so out there I want to share when something good happens :)
Tuesday May 3, 2011:
I was finishing up in the back filing paper work and such we had just locked the doors because the last movie had just started oh around 11pm. Around 11:45pm the other manager and I hear alot of commotion at our guest services desk. We proceed to see what was going on and now wish we hadn't lol. Normally around this time the lobby is pretty empty with it being close to the end of the night and the last hard go movie watchers in their movies at god awful times js...but this time the lobby was almost packed with people. A lady yelled out "Yall got a fight in the theater" *FACE PALMS* not only was it almost the end of the night but we got killed during the entire evening from everyone coming to see "FAST FIVE"
Police are called...*waits*.....*Waits*.........................*WAITS* gahhh they take forever js.... Mean while the other manager tries to "contain" the situation.
There is NO containing this situation....she calls to the projection booth to have them shut down the movie that way we can get the disruptives out of the theatre....
The movie gets shut down..............and goes pitch black....*FACE PALMS HARDER* projectionist doesnt realize "oh i should probably turn the lights on first (SMH) and by this time one of the knockout kings decide to scream..."I'M GOING TO SHOOT YOUR ASS"
PANIC.....IN THE DARK!!
FML...
More people pour out to guest services wanting money back which we were already closed meaning no money out at all.....Man Says: Oh your gonna give me my money back or there is gonna be another fight and i'm gonna hop this counter...*sighs*
MEANWHILE....
one man is getting his ass handed him now in the hallway instead of the theatre shoved into the wall by 4 guys gut checked him dropped him to the ground and stomped his face in
NOW THAT WE CAN SEE....its noticed that its 10 guys against a young couple.
OH OH OH WAIT the police finally get there....
10 guys run out the side door before the police can get to them.....what was funny was it was the couples fault :/ apparently they were intoxicated and and the man's girlfriend doesnt take kindly to someone telling her to be quiet in a movie when she is being obnoxiously loud oh did i mention she cracked one of the guys in the head with a corona bottle....
Finally the mess was cleared the people were reimburrsed and the manager and i come out of it unscathed NO ONE WAS ARRESTED?? WHAT?? not even for public intoxication....AND SHE SHOWED THEM THE CORONA BOTTLE?? ugh
EPIC FAIL FOR THE NIGHT: when there is a rumble lights are important jfs....considering strongly if he is competant enough to even run a toaster...

MOVIE RECOMMENDATION: FAST FIVE - Full of Action Packed Adrenaline Fueled Goodness unless your intoxicated and easily aggravated...and while your there you might see a lil more then you bargained for :D
It's Friday Night.....lets see what trouble i can get into today :)
