When I was a child I lived with so much pain,
My father left this world without having a chance to say good bye.
Years went by and my Nana left us too,
Fortunately she had this chance to see us all before her time came.
More years go by and wouldn’t you know,
Both of my other Grandparents left me with never having a chance to say good bye.
The pain and loss I feel to this day,
Of never having a chance to tell them all how much I love them.
Never again will I miss a chance,
To tell those I love just how much I care.
Though their feelings may not be the same,
My love for them will never change.
This lesson I have learned is one I will share,
Never miss a chance to tell those who are special to you,
Just how much you care and love them.
For our time is finite and ever so fleeting.
