Well... here's some crazy shit.
Some crazy shit I haven't quite wrapped my head all the way around.

My dad has a lead on a case manager job
which could lead to my masters being paid
which could lead to an obligation to work as a counselor for a couple years at the place that paid for it

... which could lead to a career.

Downside?
Probably have to move back to Independence.

Very, very small pond.

Not a whole lot to do.

Not the best dating pool.

Moving back to Independence does not equal moving closer to my brother...

That's the biggest downside right there.
But I'm still turning it over in my head.

Dude... I'd be within driving distance of my favorite chinese restaurant though...

Kampfer

I've stripped and treed
everything

fucking EVERYTHING except the hands

And I cleaned my reservoire.

After part 20 I realised this was going to be a huge undertaking.

Part 50 rolls around, and I suddenly want to hire an assistant.

I probably could've saved myself a lot of grief by keeping the legs together, but the problem withat was
the legs all have boosters and jets under the armor.

The boosters and jets are going to be a different color
I can't paint the legs while they're still assembled.

Hopefully using sticky tac won't fuck me over. Cuz I ran out of alligator clip trees reeeal fast on this one.

I dunno how I'm gonna mount my hands.
Bulldog clips?
Double sided tape?
I know I'm not using this sticky tac for hands. This brand is too gummy.

I've seen one guy that seriously just... stabs small parts with a scalpel blade and paints em like that...

I can hopefully sidestep the usual primer fail.

Also
did some troubleshooting for another guy's kit (if I'm a noob- think ultra noob... like... back when I melted my zaku with top coat)
I couldn't replicate his problem with what I had here, so I determined it was his paint fucking up since it was the only thing I didn't have.

And yeah
it seriously took 2 hours to prove myself right to myself.

I did get the chance to practice with my decals and chemicals though.
That was actually kinda fun.

He's got a pretty good eye, but... I dunno if he's got a very good method yet.

I should keep in mind that he is 6 years younger than me...
*thinks back to what I was building at that age*
.... good fucking god this guy has a huge head start on me if he sticks with it.

Hopefully he never plays an MMORPG.

I just hope I talked him into getting an airbrush instead of a $300 kit.

Probably not. But hey, if he can afford that kit and has that much disposeable income for a hobby, he'll have an AB soon.

Then I gave him my 2 cents on his next project.

I know what I'd do with that $300 kit (other than sell it to buy 2 Goufs of the same size)

I still have a TON to learn and a ton to research.
