What are you waiting for?

kinda sad

kinda sad Current mood: crushed "You can't help her," Sam tried to reason, "It's your time to go- you have to move on." Dean shot Sam an interested glance but said nothing. Mary smiled politely, mischievousness building behind her eyes. "It's not my time to go," Mary smiled, "if I never lived in the first place." "What do you mean by that?" Sam asked cautiously. "Kristin needed a friend," Mary explained. "And so she created you," Sam said. "How?" "She wrote her story," Mary said simply, and turned and walked out into the hall. "She's coming- you better go." "Wait," Sam called, coming after her, but Mary had already left. "Dude- what's going on?" Dean asked, annoyed that he had been kept in the dark for this long. "We have to go, I'll explain later," Sam said quickly. "Mary- what's wrong?" I asked quickly. Her pale face was unusually paler, and she had a troubled expression on her face. "There's people looking for you," Mary said quietly, and I felt a chill run down my back. "People?" I asked hesitantly. "What people?" Mary rubbed her right shoulder irritated. "Them," she said, pointing at the computer, where my Winchester story lay opened. "Sam and Dean?" I asked in disbelief. "They're real," Mary said quietly. I studied Mary for a while, and she did not meet my eyes. Mary had never lied to me before; she was constantly at my side, helping me- the thought had never occurred to me that Mary was keeping anything from me. "They're real?" I repeated, and Mary nodded. "Have I seen them before?" I asked quietly, trying to avoid the feeling that I was playing 20 questions. "No, but you've talked to them before-" Mary said quietly. "On-" she motioned to the computer again. "On Quizilla?" I asked, and Mary nodded. "Who?" I asked, bringing up a list of recent messages. "There," Mary pointed to a particular name of the screen. "I knew it," I hissed, and I prepared myself to write a long, long message. "Wait a minute, Dean," Sam said suddenly. "What now?" Dean asked, irritated. "Look at this," Sam said, turning the computer around. "Damn," Dean blanched. "Back to square one." "Mary- it's only for a night," I said gently- why did she want me to leave? "Look, you know I don't want to go on some night retreat- but this is half my grade and I have to go. You'll be fine- you're all alone in the house." Mary whined and grabbed my hand. "Kristin- don't go," she said quietly. "You know I have to, Mary," I said quietly, gently taking her hand off of mine. "I'll see you tomorrow. Good-bye." "Just our luck she had that nightly retreat, huh?" Dean asked. "Well, the fact that everyone else is out is lucky enough too," Sam agreed. "Let's just hope this plan of yours works." "Just do what I said and you'll be fine," Dean answered, stepping in through the window. "Ok, Sam, where is she?" "There," Sam pointed into the darkness. "You can't do this to me-" Mary said faintly. "Please- don't do this..."
