My sister called this morning and told me that she caught my 10 year old niece smoking a cigarette behind a dumpster in the alley at her house! She was asking my input on what should be her punishment! I told my sis to remember what mama did to me when I was caught smoking behind the church when I was 15...(which was to smoke a WHOLE DAMN pack right in front of her WHILE reading an encyclopedia about the advanced stages of lung cancers..which was full of gross pictorials...DAMN). That cleared my desire to smoke cigarettes right up! I dont think that my niece should smoke a pack but maybe do a book report on the risks of smoking and present it to her classmates or something to that nature! What input should I give my sister? What would you do?
A) Tell her to remember what mama did to me...
B) Approach it differently..like loss of TV, cell phone, extra chorus, etc...
