I know this is old news for some of you, but excuse me for a moment while I try to reach those that haven't seen this yet.
I know from time to time everyone gets a low rating, either from a noob who doesn't understand CT customs or from dinks that are trying to cause trouble, but for a while, (maybe a few months now), I've noticed that I've been getting low rates from unknown users. I'm sure there have been many of you that have noticed the same thing and now we're learning that it's all a part of the changes that have been taking place around CT/LC over the past months...From the NSFW rules, to the newer rate/comment speed limits...
I realize that by putting anything on the internet I am placing it in the public domain, But for the most part, when I place something on CT it is for My CT~friends and the CT community at large that I am trying to reach. Up until a few days ago I believed that was what CT was about. Now we've learned, (Some of you may have already known...so excuse me for being a little behind the curve...lol...I never could hit a curveball...), that the pictures we post on CT in any "Non-Private" folder is also fed to what is known as "Cherryphotos.com" where the world can view and rate our CherryTap pictures...
On the surface I can get behind the concept of what the CherryGods are doing...it is a business afterall, but my main BITCH, is the fact that all this was done under the radar; we were given reasons that weren't exactly HONEST when NSFW went live, or the reason why there is now rate/comment time limits. I hate being treated like a mushroom, (Kept in the dark and fed shit), I have been among the most vocal of the CT Management defenders over the months I've been here...I can honestly say that now I wont be so quick to defend anymore because of the way all this stuff has come to light...
So...When you get one of those low rates from seemingly nowhere... More than likely it wasn't one of our CT community that did it... It probably came from CherryPhotos...
What can I do...It's kinda the feeling you got when you first discovered that Santa Clause didn't exist...lol...
Remove Your Photos You Do Not Want Posted To The World From Your "Default"Which They Have Access To
And Place Them In Private Albums
