What do you want for Christmas
What did I hear you say
You wish that it would disappear
Just go and stay away
There are so many hearts
Who break this time of year
They just don't feel the spirit
And they sure don't feel the cheer
There are as many reasons
As there are hearts, I'm sure
Don't try to judge another
For you don't know where they were
Perhaps it is bad memories
Of some time way back when
And when they lost that feeling
They've not found it again
Perhaps it is because they feel
They are alone and no one cares
Don't judge another for you
Are not/nor have you been there
It's easy to love Christmas
When your heart is full of love
You feel all of the tenderness
And the joy from up above
You love to buy the presents
And the tree is just a joy
But for some there is no tree
For some children - there's no
toy
Try to understand that
We just all don't feel the same
Perhaps it's other's know not
Even that was when Jesus came
They have not heard the story
Of the stables in Bethlehem
And they've not known Santa
How can they understand
Please let your heart go beyond
The safe place that it stays
And try to meet these strangers
Who just might be friends in days
Try to do for others as well
That is the most blessed of ways
Making Christmas meaningful
Will brighten up each day
So take the blessings that you
have
And share them with another
God will bless you ten fold
When you take care of 'another'
For after all, that is what
Christmas is really suppose to be
It isn't all about the presents
Nor all the trimmings on a tree
It's knowing the true story
Of this beautiful time of year
And holding everything dear close
Don't ever let it disappear
Love the ones who matter
And I think that is the plan
For in God's Book all matter
Every woman, every man
And each child with sparkling eyes
That smile upon their faces
Is something that you put there
And nothing else ever replaces
