Pearl I like to throw things set fire's blog: "Just stuff"

Well I learned some valuable info today.. People will even take your tooth brush given the chance.. My daughter who was staying till the last min in her bed bug infested apartment thought she had till 12:00 tonight.. WRONG we left to go get more boxes and while we were not there they came and moved ALL of there belongs to the sidewalk zoes new sewing machine, computer and every stitch of clothes they owned shoes EVERYthing! By time we got there it was all gone! Even there toiletries.. All there meds supposable were flushed (my ass) ADHD meds (speed), Valium, her pain meds for her back, antidepressants I’m sure are being sold as I type .. It was one of the most heart braking things to see my daughter and grandchild standing there like a deer in the headlights.. They now have nothing… so starting fresh for the new year means starting completely over down to there underwear.

WTF!!! Ok I have been a potter for 20 years hadn't thrown much for the past 10 but was able to pick up where I left off with out much trouble on size and stuff BUT every thing else has fought me every inch of the way! First my kick wheel gets messed up so I get an electric so I thought this is a good thing as I am getting older and don't like to work as hard LOL.. The first glaze load comes out like crap very under glazed so I get the next load ready & on the bisque firing one pot blows up and the kiln under fires so I glaze them and there just ok Ok next load bisque miss fires AGAIN but I glaze anyway MY BAD! The pots are just a little better then ok.. So we replace a burned out heating element wow now every thing should be great.. NOT! I put a load in yesterday for a bisque firing after waiting a week for the element to get here I flip my little switches every hour like I have for the past 20 years and 5 hours later the thing drops like it should, woo hoo I think I'm good to go. Ok its morning so I get to open the kiln (has to cool from 1800) OMG! The pot on the top self had blown up and took out the entire shelf under and busted the shelf in half, So 4 out of 11 pots are fired and able to be glazed the rest are in the trash! I am not a happy camper!!!! What a flipping waste of time, energy and money!!!

You’re in California for god knows how long. You have only been gone 3 days and we have talked on the phone twice but only for a moment…. Almost every day for over 3 years you have told me it’s all going to be ok… Now I have to tell myself, maybe its all part of the every thing happens for a reason to make me be strong with out you… The other things that are happening all seam to be a part of this wired thing that is going on to show me what I need to do and that I can do it!!! This will be the first Christmas or Christmas Eve in 15 years that I will not get to see you for at least a min… your ornament is on the tree where it has always hung so I can see it every time I walk past. I told him today the tree is staying up till you come back and we are going to have another Christmas then… I don’t think he liked it but he knows I have to do what I have to do when it comes to you… Hey you know more then the breath of life it’s self………..
