Frost

I'm two cigarettes and a rhyming line of iambic pentameter from perfection.

I gave up smoking years ago, I never took up the rhythm and rules.

Sometimes you have to leave the hair in the sink, the dirt on the walls, the wires
exposed.

The lids off the nap drink.
The pans in the sink.

The leavings that blew in with the daggers and windchill.

The sad girls you know by name, but do nothing to help.

The chances you didn't take.

The game ending strikeouts.

I live for the muddy edges of beaten down heaps.
Of rust-bucket stallions, and the pulverizing grind of ascension.

[All the hard questions]

00. A relative just commited a very serious crime, do you turn them in?sa

Some of my relatives are cunts, so yes.

0. Your lover of 10 years has cheated on you, do you stay or go?

I'm OUT. I've been cheated on before, I'm not going through it again.

1. How do you hope you will die?
Painlessly.

2. Are you afraid of dying?
I am. I came pretty close a few times, it seems like a reasonable fear to have.

3. Recall your worst nightmare, what was it about?
Going through a more extreme version of my car crash, I swallowed, and spit out glass, it went down my throat, cut my neck and insides. Then I died face down in a pool of my own blood from my mouth.

4. Your best friend makes a move on your lover, how do you handle that?
Probably not very well. Incidentally this happened, and I didn't really have to worry about it since she was way more into me.

5. If there were a fountain of youth, would you drink from it?
Noop.

6. If a magic potion could make someone love you, would you slip it to them?
Nah, that'd be super unethical, but it'd make my heart hurt less.

7. What if a potion could make your enemy miserable?
Hah, they totally have that shit coming.

8. You're in the woods, alone, at night...are you honestly not afraid?

Depends on the situation, how serious, and how great of an opportunity for my significant other.

Nope. I'd probably make it work some other way.

11. You're never going to see your lover again, what's do need them to know?

14. You wittness a crime, do you call the police or get involved in any way?
My brother had to stop me from directly confronting someone breaking into our garage, so yes, and yes.

15. Is abortion ever an option?

Fuck no. I don't really believe in killing other people.

DOGGY!

[Express]

I can't recommend quitting -everything- before you buy a house.

Long time no rant. My health was deteriorating in April. Some random... systemic failure, it's getting a bit better, and I'm implementing new health interventions. Lead theory was MS for a while.

And I gotta say

When you're in a foot race between
MS
Diabetes
Crazy
Gradual paralysis

You kinda root for crazy.

So I quit smoking
again
I quit drinking
... *whistles*

and I cut down caffeine to less than a cup of coffee a week.

Cut processed foods and sugar (which was already happening)

Started basic yoga.
Tried sleeping a bit more.

Tried to curb my sex addiction.
That lasts about 2 days at the most, at a time.

Had my 2 year review at work, scored nearly perfect. Bonus check should be coming, I reiterated that I'm going for a promotion.

I sometimes have that dream where you're here, everything's beautiful, and nothing hurts.

Chronic pain is actually down with the regular exercise and increase in PT, but at a certain point I'm doing NOTHING but PT and exercise and nothing bad for me.

That can get fairly frustrating

My dog's uterus blew up. She had emergency surgery last Tuesday, and she's doing great. She's damn near 9 1/2.

I still owe $1600 for my MRI and other shit.

Oh, and I finally got the MRI, small bulging disc, chronic pain is to be expected. Forever. Non surgical at least.

So amidst all that

I'm trying to buy a house
sober
working full time
taking care of my dog
ducking violent stalkers.

There's a property I want, it's in range of work, keeps me kinda close to the fam, meets most of my criteria, the floor is FUCKED, there's a ramshackle shed that needs demolished, and it's a small house

but otherwise perfect.

If I can get some additional land, and close this thing in the next 60 days I'll be very happy, but I'm also in the process of blanking the public record, and that's adding about 20 layers to this trifle.

I've peeled through about 6 of those layers, and discarded the false-starters and crazy shit.

We're going to contact a lawyer tomorrow, but we're down to about the last two options

and I'm pretty sure that failing in this venture won't really stop me.

I haven't left the state, burned my car, or changed my name yet

so I guess I'm not as afraid as I thought I was.

Maybe.

People tell me I should just... arm up, face him head on at the OK Corral, but I can't kill a man I once called brother.

Not without killing a big, sad part of myself.

I hope he can't either.

I'll be making an offer soon. This will be about the fifth "just about right" house/property. I don't wanna get this close again, and miss again, but hey, at least we got a lot more done on this one than the last.

The train doesn't stop.
The plan doesn't change.

15. Are you going to snuggle with someone tonight?
My doggy!

16. If you were granted invisibility for one hour, what would you do?
hmmmmmmm... freak out and wonder why I was invisible and if I was a ghost, and if I'd ever stop being invisible.

17. Where do you buy your make-up?
The halloween store?

18. A piece of paper falls from a tree. On it's the meaning of life. It says:

"Money's just a thing man, thing's don't make you happy"

19. What's the last rumor you heard about yourself?
My personal favorite:

The most recent was that I was up for a promotion. We all know how that shit is a lie.

20. Would you rather date someone that is 3ft tall, or 10ft tall, and why?
3 ft, I don't want to get a step ladder to go (up) on someone.

21. If you were a pirate, would you rather have a parrot or a monkey?
Monkey. I'd teach him sign language and to scout/steal shit. We'd go on adventures, he'd reload my pirate guns, and swing on stuff from his tail, and hold extra weapons in his tail, and help me cheat at cards.

22. Does the weather effect your mood?
Chronic pain condition, so yes. Though I still love snow and rain. They hurt.

23. Have you ever been inside of a cave?
Several. I like them. I hated going on guided tours with a bunch of fucking people though.

24. How would you feel marrying the (wo)man you love who has already a son?

Like I might have an opportunity to have a step-son, and I would try to be a possitive influence on his life, and not intrude on his father's role.

25. What are the oldest pair of pants you still wear? How old are they?
Jeans. Probably over 12 years old, they're mostly intact, and fucking rad.

26. Did your last significant other have a huge temper?
Nah, she was pretty even keel, she'd get sad sometimes, but never that angry.

27. Do you own more belts than eletronics with chords?
I own 2 belts, I own ALL the electronics.

28. Have you ever licked the back of a CD to try to get it to work?
I did not know that was a thing people tried... and I wouldn't.

29. Do you have any friends that you've known for 10 years or more??
Several.

30. Does the number of people a person's slept with affect your view of them?
I think it does for most people, people think I'm really weird for only having sex with one person.

31. Beatles or Stones?
Yes. But Stones.

32. Who is the person you can count on the most?
Probably my old man. He's seen some shit.

33. Who was the last person who cooked something for you?
Some pizza drone.

34. Who was the last person you felt awkward around?
Hmmmm that would probably be the last human I was in contact with.

35. What was the last pair of shoes you wore?
I am presently wearing my hiking/work boots.

36. What was the last thing you had to drink?
Lemon balm tea with honey.

37. What was the last type of yoghurt you ate?
No idea! It was in a curry.

38. Where did you last go shopping for clothing?
Dillard's.

39. What is your favorite ice-cream flavor?
A really well done vanilla.

40. Do you keep track of calories?
A little bit, I used to be fat, and I'm a little worried about getting diabetes like my old man.
