Who gets butterflies when he hears
my name, he would not kiss and tell,
he would care about how I feel instead
of playing with my emotions,
he would be content to just be able to hold me,
he would listen when I talk, wipe away
my tears when I’m crying, think I’m
beautiful when I’m wearing sweats,
give me his jacket when I am cold,
tickle me just to hear me laugh,
smile when I walk into the room,
like to stay home just to cuddle and watch movies,
he wouldn’t lie to me about where he’s been,
he would say “I love you” first because he’s not afraid,
and he wouldn’t give a damn about my imperfections,
he would love me more for them.

To wake up to this man everyday,
hear the sound of his breath on my neck,
