Almost 27 and it almost seems my life has hit a stand still. Or so it may seem. Im free from the system its been some time now. But thats just my past. I call it my past because thats where i have left it IN THE PAST!
However when your past is written on paper like mine has been, people seem to view my past as who i am today. Its not how i chose to live my life today. Its not the paths i have chosen to take. Rather The things i have learned and that is WHO I AM NOT ANYMORE!
Yes it is true that those moments were ones that i had chosen to take.
You know when people say " when one door closes another opens?" i find that saying to be flawed.
I feel that when one door closes (closes meaning accepting your past) Three more doors open.
You see i was to blind to see that there were other doors (and/or paths) i could have chosen.
It seems i was too blind to contemplate the other paths that lay before me. I atribute most of that cloudedness to the fact that i am stubborn. i have to experince things in order to judge how i believe/feel about them.
Luckily those doors which i could not see would never close behind me until i had waked through them. (aka experience)
Alot of times it seemed as though i was the rat put in the maze to find the cheese (aka do what society says is right.) It almost seemed at times that I would never find that damn cheese or that maybe that cheese was just an illiusion that had been put in my head .
This is when i remembered the other doors that i forgot were still open. I think if those didnt remain open then the second door you go through wouldnt let you have your second chance. The chance to make things right.
Lastly theres the most important door that is left open. Door number three!
This door has a lock on it. this is so we can be sure to leave that moment ... just like all great things should be ... left In the past.
Door number three can be a little tricky when your heart is the only key to open it. However from time to time its ok to visit the past. This is done for Those future open doors. That way I dont get lost in what I once was. A way to avoid being the "fake me" again.
Its always good to remind ourselves on how much our journeys ( and/or choices) Have helped us to become the stronger person we are today.( take pride in that step)

I know theres more doors that i may have missed. I can say that i cant wait to see for myself how many more doors i have missed.
Even though some days it seems inevitable that....That damn cheese waiting for me at the end of this maze of twists and turns may just be an illusion.
HOWEVER THE JOURNEY IS BECOMING MORE ENTICING THAN THAT DAMN CHEESE!!
