A news 10 report from Sacramento CA back in Feb 2007 just came to my attention.
In this report 4 teens claiming to be Juggalos are charged with setting several fires and creating over one million dollars worth of damage.
They claim they did it because they are Juggalos and thats what we do.
This is ludicrous! These teen-aged infants set these fires because they are idiots to say the least and to claim they did it because they are Juggalos make as all look bad.
Here in New England we are still fighting to distance our selves from a news story from 2005 where a New Bedford MA teen; Jacob Robida, entered a neighborhood gay bar sat down had a drink and then; with out warning, shot and attacked several people with a hatchet before fleeing west where he later shot and killed a police officer, his girl friend and himself at a police road block.
In CA they are attempting to classify the Juggalo Community as street gangs under California Penal Law we qualify as such. By wearing hatchet gear, face paint, Juggalo tattoos, hand signs are all required elements of being classified as a Gang.
Yet many gang units in CA have not even heard of the Juggalo until this news report.
As a result any Juggalo walking down the street can be treated as a gang member; they can be stopped and searched with out cause for wearing a hatchet man or having stickers on their cars related to the Juggalo Community or Psychopathic Records. This includes being surrounded by a bunch of cops and pulled out of your vehicles at gun point just because you are a Juggalo.
Yes the family is made up of out casts and rejects from all walks of life, many have made stupid mistakes in their lives but to lump as all as a blood thirsty gang of cut throats and vandals is ridiculous. How many news reports are there of reported Juggalos committing acts of violence. Less then a few!
As they say it only takes one bad apple to ruin the bushel.
Now because of these idiots Juggalos in CA and New England have a lot more grief and aggravation to deal with on a daily basis. Recently some of my co workers found one of my websites and begun harassing me over it when one of the other guys in the company set them straight on being a Juggalo but what I disagree with is him calling it a religion and telling these guys they could be fired for harassing someone over their beliefs.
It's easy for someone to call something they don't under stand an occult because they are so closed minded they can't understand something different.
All through out history wars have been fought over this very issue. Now we are finding our selves in a war of sorts to gain under standing and acceptance.
