Hello, and Welcome to The Pride!
We chose this name for two reasons. First, as a feeling of belonging and satisfaction. Secondly, as a collective number of lions, working together for the good of the group.
Of course, we are a brand new family, but we do have high hopes for the future! We will be participating in several different areas in order to help our members, and hope to become a recognized force here in the Fu-world.
So, let's cut to the chase. What can joining this group do for you?
- Meeting friends -
Our PRIMARY concern here is for our FAMILY. We aren't here to gain large numbers just to have large numbers, but we want a close-knit community of people that are here to join together and help out each other! We would rather have a small group of committed members than to have a large group of people that just come and go, as we have seen from many groups here on Fubar. This does NOT mean that we wish to control you, or to command each of your rates or comments...not in the least. This simply means that our focus is to each other.
- Leveling Help -
When one of our members is close to leveling, we will work together to do our best to help that member level up as quickly as we can. As a new group, we can not amass huge numbers of points, but as we grow we will be able to do more and more to help someone. For now, we will set the boundary at 20,000 points; meaning, if you are within 20,000 points of your next level we will pull together to help you level up. This number will grow as our family grows, so it is only a temporary limit for now.
- Contest Help and Bombing -
If one of our members is either hosting or participating in a contest, we will support him or her if we are given enough notice to do so. If you are planning to host or participate in a contest, and you would like help from The Pride, please contact us with as much notice as possible so that we can plan to be there to support you. It is difficult to reach everyone on any given day, so the more time we have to promote you, the better results you will have. When contacting us for bombing help, it is given on a first come, first serve basis. We will keep track of who is requesting help for when, and we will try to accomodate as best we can. However, we do reserve the right to pull our support if a member was scheduled and has not participated equally in the group (in this case we will shift focus to the next member). PLEASE KNOW THAT WE CAN NOT PROMISE TO SUPPORT YOU IN CONTESTS IF YOU HAVE NOT FIRST GIVEN US NOTICE TO DO SO. If we are currently helping one member, while another one enters a contest, we can not promise to be there for the second member unless that member clears it with us first. Easily said, we can't be bombing 20 people in 20 contests and be effective.
- F.A.R. Help -
Of course, a large part of getting ahead here at Fubar is the chance to Fan/Rate/Add members, and have them return the favor. It is a REQUIREMENT that you fan, rate, and add ALL group members before you may join. Members are also required to return the favor. IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH THIS AREA, PLEASE CONTACT A STAFF MEMBER and let us know. If people are continually not following the rules, they will be asked to leave.
Are you ready to join?
- Member Responsibilities -
First, contact one of our staff members (or the group profile IF it is online) and let one of us know that you would like to join. Once you've notified us that you would like to be a member, you MUST fan, rate, and add ALL GROUP MEMBERS before you are considered to be on a trial membership. When sending a friend request, please let the members know that you are doing so for The Pride.
Once you've done this, you will begin a two-week trial period, during which you may NOT request help from the group, but during which you MUST provide HELP for the group. This means, that even if you're already in a contest once you join, you can not be added immediately to the prey list, or to the leveling list. We do this because people sign up ONLY to be helped, and then never return to help others. For the first two weeks, trial members are expected to bomb the prey, and to participate as any regular member would.
Once you've joined, please check back as often as possible for updates. We will post our current prey, and update you as often as possible as to where we will be and when. Organization is the key to a smooth-running operation, and we'd like everyone to have a pleasant experience here.
Please know that people will gladly help YOU, but will expect YOU to do the same for others.
- Disclaimer -
Any drama, downrating, badmouthing, etc. will NOT be tolerated in any way, and will result in removal from the group. Fubar is an adult site, so we should all be old enough to conduct ourselves appropriately. If we receive multiple complaints about a member, we will have no other alternative but to ask that member to bow out from the group. Those who break the courtesy rule (see below) will also be asked to leave.
- The Courtesy Rule -
This is pretty simple. You get back what you give. If you are here only to mooch points, do not waste your time. People will not continue to help you if you do not return the favor to others. This helps us all in the long run, as when WE need help, others have seen that WE help others, and will in turn show up to help US!
We do realize that there IS a life offline (imagine that?!) and that sometimes things come up that will keep us from being at every single project every single day. That's life, and we understand that sometimes things happen. Please let us know if there is something preventing you from participating fully, so that we know you haven't gone MIA.
