Well, I guess I just might as well give an update..
This crap's killing me, inside and out..
Cleaned the ex's place out today of stuff the children wanted to keep. The ex's mom was there as well. She told me some disturbing news. That whole side of the family knew of the boyfriend's sexual problem with kids... for three years.. THREE years.. and nobody felt fit to tell me. I knew he couldn't see his own daughters in Texas.. now I know why.
The letter she sent was stamped at Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Some BS about how she's always hurting the kids and if what she's done makes us think she's a selfish bitch, then she is one. She also stated she's not coming back.
They had left everything there. I mean, every-damn-thing. All of the children's' things as well as anything the kids made for her, and all of the kids' pictures, X-Mas stuff specially for or of them.. the works.. Not one single reminder went. The kids were quite hurt. My daughter cried for over 30 minutes. My son just got mad, but was mellowed after a couple of minutes. Refused to even take most of his toys from her place. Still did grab quite a bit, though. My daughter grabbed many of the more emotional tying stuff...My living room, kitchen and stairway are packed with bags and furniture..Last thing I wanted was to incorporate her crap with mine, but I do so for the kids..
CPS informed me that I still need to show for court, due to them not wanting her to show up out of the blue saying she still had joint custody. Also, it seems that they left NY the same day they were served the court papers. October 18th. Also mentioned that it was for the best because child molestion cases are so incredibly hard to prove and my daughter would have to go through the courts and all of that pain. I had agreed with that.
Anyway, It's trick or treat night tonight and got crap to do, so I'm off..
