Ok, i happen to be a very opinionated person and right now I need to make my opinion known! The way this country is going, it is my belief that within ten (10) years we will be another third world country, if we dont do something about it NOW!! The way gas prices keep going up, and solutions are slow and crawling, the economy is hitting a depression and nobody seams to care, a war rages around us, and we shouldn't even be there in the first place (not that i don't support the troops. i will touch on this in a minute), the people we have running for president havn't got anything good to say at all, it's no wonder noone votes anymore, and even if they do would it really matter? Are we really voting or is the electoral college? These are the things that will bring us down, unless we do something about it.
Why are we still pumping billions into oil for gas overseas when there is enough oil in the U.S. to last us a hundred years? We need to pull out of Iraq, leave them alone to fight whoevere and concentrate on getting oil from here. While we're at it, lets pump all that money that we are spending on keeping our soldiers overseas, and use it to build wind turbine farms and solor fields. The reason it cost so much right now for these things is because it hasn't got enough money from big business to make it more affordable to the little guy. Why is a big oil tycoon spending a billion dollars of his own money for a wind turbine farm? Because he know's heres money in to. If your harvesting free wind that is blowing anyways, then everything coming in is gravy right? Ah see now all the money hungry people are like what a minute, he's right! Not only that but by not using oil and using electricity, hydrogen, and bio fuel, we are saving our earth, which happens to be the only one we have.
I support the troops, I don't support the reason they are fighting. I thank every man and woman that is fighting for my freedom to sit on my ass in front of a computer and write out my convictions, then go to work at a crappy factory making disposable dentist tools (again because our economy is in a decline right now), while they sit in a hole, without a hot shower for eight days now, bullets flying over their heads, building falling down around them. Trust me, if it wasn't for my broken back, I would be there with you. My heart goes out to all of you.
I think we should pull every man and woman we have overseas back home, wait fifty (50) years, send over a note and a goat or whatever is a gift for them, with the note saying "Sorry for sticking our nose where it doesn't belong" then don't have anything to do with anybody unless they ask for help. In which case we will direct them to the U.N. for help, with our best wishes. I have nothing against helping others, but right now we need to help ourselves. We are apart of the U.N. so we will still be helping people, but we need to concentrate on us first. Rebuild our cities, build our economy, police our streets, protect ourselves.
